I was 10yrs old in 5th grade in 1957. We ALL rushed home after school week days to watch the Mickey Mouse Club show. The next day at school the "cool kids" would "reenact" the yesterday show. We were TOTALLY immersed! Our family finally took a vacation to Disneyland during the summer of 1967. I was 19. Inspite of my advancing age, I was "blown away". It was better than I could imagine. Not the annual shoddy local state fair ambience. Everything was real and perfect. And even as a 19yr old "kid", I was amazed and appreciated that there was no gum or gum wrappers, scraps of paper, cigarettes.etc. any where. Lush landscaping and people were dressed up and this about 10yrs after it had first opened. In 1984 I was a high-school band chaperon to WDW, in 1993 my wife and I had our honeymoon there also. And we went with our "children" several times after that. Fond memories..........
