There was magic in the duo of Donna Pescow and Robert Hays as Angie and Brad - magic that can never be repeated. For one brief period of time, these two captured lightning in a bottle. Donna, Robert - you are still cherished and loved to this day. I am one of those who still cherishes and loves you. Thank you.

Do we even have, Love songs on the Top 40 in mainstream music anymore? There's no subtlety, nuance, it's all overt sexuality. No courting or real romancing, conveying of deepest emotion in the lyrics. Thirty five, forty years ago the most memorable popular music was being made and tv shows. It's all about hitting you over the head with sexuality, shock and arrogance! I mean one day when Nicki Minag is an old woman she'll realize the piece of shit WAP isand feel bad she never made anything worthwhile musically.

Really fitting that Donna and Robert shared a TV show together. I think more than any other people, these 2 were all over TV in the late 70's-early 80's. Guest spots, game shows, starring roles... they had to be 2 of the hardest working actors in that time period.

If this is from a year ago Pescow still looks fairly young, it's amazing that show was forty four years ago! She must have very good genes. Even if her hair grey'd a little still a very youthful looking woman.

I remember when Angie went on the air in 1979, I think it only lasted two seasons. After this show was canceled, that would’ve been something if ABC could’ve made a one time Christmas special regarding Angie. I don’t even think they do that on TV shows (Christmas special episodes) anymore either, or same with a TV show-movie of the week - now that I think about it they don’t even do a movie of the week anymore.

Later in the '90s, they came up with "Dharma & Greg" which had basically the exact same premise. That ended up being more successful.

ABC has a habit of mishandling popular series. Those bullies cancelled Just the Ten of Us when it was winning it's time slot. 😢
@jaredjlinden
Жыл бұрын
Oh, cancelling Just the Ten of Us was dumb. They wanted to give the slot to Miller Boyett, who were producing the rest of the ABC Friday night lineup (Full House, Family Matters, etc). The replacement show was from Miller Boyett, called Going Places, and it was a bomb.
@msquaretheoriginal

@@jaredjlinden you do know that Miller-Milkis-Boyett also produced "Angie."
@jaredjlinden

Yep. And that team had a lot successful shows for ABC, particularly when Ed Milkis and Garry Marshall were involved (I thought the shows produced by just Tom Miller and Bob Boyett were creatively weaker). But that wasn’t a good enough reason to cancel JTTOU.
