Prey animals, on the other hand, have sensory organs with a 360 degree scanning ability, for detecting predators.
@TlalocTemporal
2 ай бұрын
@@Pootycat8359-- Forward facing eyes and binocular vision is common in predators, but not exclusive to them. Especially in our case; primates all have binocular vision, including Tarsiers, Lorises, and Galagos, which are prey animals, and Gorillas, which are herbivores. The connection here is vision among trees and detailed use of hands. Binocular vision is useful for any detailed task, as well as identifying specific things at a distance, especially around thin obstructions, which is very important for identifying predators and jumping trajectories. Primates definitely don't have forward facing ears though. Some elves and goblins are portrayed with those, but that's not reality. Most of human's predatory methods seem to be persistence hunting anyway, which doesn't require good eyesight as much as good knowledge and tracking. Dogs are often used for the takedown too. Good vision is useful for throwing things though, which would be very useful for chasing lions and hyenas away from a kill. All in all, out only specializations among primates are efficient walking and intelligence, both of which are useful for a wide variety of behaviours beyond active predation.

And in order to substantiate their claim they promised a public miracle giving the time date and place. Consequently about 80000 showed up at given time...including all the major journalist of Portugal. As recounted in newspaper accounts the next day by the skeptical press. It's at the _NOVA_ section of PBS, but you'll either need a Passport membership to see it (good for you if you have one) or wait until it one day becomes free again or see if you can borrow it from your local library. -------------- They cover the evolutionary history of Cetaceans, showing the various steps along the way, and spectacular fully articulated whale fossils that are coming out of the sands in the Sahara near Egypt from when the area was under the ocean. I thought at first it might be boring, but it was NOT! And not a creationist in sight.

Under the YEC model, god made black people when he cursed Ham. It's been their justification for white supremacy for several hundred years now.

What do you call weeding your garden if your garden is filled with weed?

Well, in that case, "weeding" would probably refer to the sowing of the seeds of said "weed", right?

I'd love to hear how they differentiate between 'rescue device' and legitimate scientific development (other then it's inconvenient to them)

You've done enough creationist debunking; I think you should start to go after the much more dangerous videos trending lately that are trying to convince people evolution is “directed” or that it has been “debunked” (the classic “scientists are baffled and can't explain it!!1!” misinformation campaign). This year has had a HUGE wave of well-disguised pseudoscience cropping up in popular channels, from self-trained “debunkers” to Big Think, in topics ranging from physics to anthropology, a large portion being about evolution. I think it would be some fresh content and be more effective at getting the general audience's attention, as they likely don't know about obscure creationist schools but do know about such videos.

In the United States, Creationists are extremely influential at the highest levels of business and politics - the man third in line to the Presidency is a creationist. The dedicated apologists are a small fringe, but the rank and file believers are very numerous.

@@joelpartee594that’s really concerning, like it actually can make pretty much damage to society, I’m always curious about the reason of why people just deny something that haves all types of evidence pointing to it, to them believe in something that haves no evidence behind it, it just makes me like 😵💫 confused, it’s actually so strange
