The very best in the series, Double Dragon Advance, incorporated skills from previous entries like the headbutt, spinkick, hyper knee and uppercut, mount, stomp, wall jump, grab, and parry to name a few. Don't assume the most recently released homage, Double Dragon Neon, is the superlative entry. While it did wield an impressive move list and an insider's nostalgia, it never felt quite like a Technos game.

We did record a piece about Rage of the Dragons for this episode but we took it out since it really isn't an official Double Dragon game. We'll include that piece in out next Bloopers/outtakes upload, whenever that will be.

Double Dragon 3 for Nes isn't bad. You just have to move up and down that enemies won`t hit you so often. Jump kick is good way to attack because if the enemy jump kicks too you always win so it makes the game easier. It`s not a long game so it`s quick to practice but I have to say that the final stage and and boss are hard.

About Part 3 for the NES, with a little bit of practice, most can get to level 3 and by then you can use Chin who can take out enemies in four punches. But that's the only good thing about him since he is super slow. You get Ranzou after level 3 but he's terrible. The game isn't very fun but isn't a complete failure either. It is a huge step back from Double Dragon 2 though, which never gets old for me.

The joke about the death clip sounding like vomit was hilarious! I can never get enough of this channel's humor!

You guys seriously did not give Double Dragon Advance enough play time to see that it's easily one of the best in the series. With so many different moves that fully utilize the GBA buttons, you'd see that there's so many ways to dispose of your enemy. Check out some gameplay footage on YT to see what I mean. I also don't understand why your game is so zoomed in. Were you playing it on an emulator? I own the physical copy and never have seen it that close up.

Me and my cousin owned double dragon 2 and 3 for the NES and we beat both games at 12 years of age, I don’t understand why people find these 2 so crappy and difficult. To me these are 2 of my best favorites games in the retro world.

River City Ransom had a great Double Dragon moment, when you face off against two brothers with Double Dragon music playing. Also, I miss the version comparison sequences you guys used to do.

On battletoads double dragon: the third level you stand and hit the attack button, your character will throw a rope and you can swing down with the rope. Best version is Nes.

DD2 on NES is still my fav, nostalgic value and all. The one on Neo Geo CD actually isn't near as bad as I thought it would be.

Am I the only one that thinks the colour scheme on the arcade DD II makes it look like an Amiga game?
