Which nunchakus are best foam or wood for beginner?

I'd buy both. They're pretty cheap. Foam to get the basic movements down, it will hurt a lot with wood. But you won't want to use them for long.

if you do kali, easily transferrable, knowing the movements of siniwali pretty much sets you up for double nunchaku right away
