That’s a great shirt, Patrick! More than I’m willing to spend on one, but looks fantastic.

This looks very good on you. RRL has been on my radar for a while but i still haven't pilled the trigger on one.

Thanks for the kind words! I really like the idea of RRL but their price structure is weird. Things go exponentially up from this shirt, which is expensive, but not outlandish.

I differentiate between Northwoods and Western, but I also wish I could speak more qualitatively about the degrees of linen or whatever, since I am sure then I could know if it's really an improvement for the price. I've mentioned plenty already that even with the rising prices, over a hundred bucks for me is a bit steep for cotton when I consider that Wool Range or whatever. I avoid shopping in stores because then there is typically that mark-up, too.

Some Western-look shirts are less over-the-top in design than others, but I guess the main contention is whether the snaps are handy or cheap and don't stay fastened, etc., and the ones with the extra taper Cowboy Cut are pretty much a no-go for stockier guys.

But is the twill more like some of those other less soft flannels you mentioned before? I would assume so, maybe like the texture of those thick Bean linen ones I got several years ago that were more durable than cozy and a lot warmer than I expected from typical thin summer linen but not quite as soft as corduroy and all that.

I would hope they're a bit more refined than Bean, but not sure if they would be as soft as the Woolrich ones.

It's actually quite soft for this type of construction. And feels physically lighter than it should be for it's thickness. It's an interesting fabric and I'm looking forward to some heavy wear this season to see if that linen strength is real or just marketing.

Yes, I like watching follow-up reviews but so many boots there was no follow-up so I just had to bite the bullet, as they say. Shirts I'm usually into the color or pattern or I wait for the sale and hope they still have my size.

your measurements would be helpful

43.5" chest, 5'8.5" and 190lbs were all in the video. And I talk about sleeve length and show it off in the fit section. What else would you require to get an idea for fit? Shoulder measurement? Don't have that handy, but average shoulders for a guy my size...

No worries. It's not all int he same spot. I'll try to do a better infographic during the fit section with all measurements. Prob a good idea.
