I only discovered this video a couple of months ago and I love it but I only used 16 squares and a border as I don't make big quilts only couch quilts. It's a great pattern and very easy to follow as I don't like set out patterns and this one is a suprise every time you sew the pieces together. I'm now making another one using more colourful fabrics. Thank you Jenny you do a wonderful job. I live in Australia.

Jenny, I guess now after making 9 quilts of this pattern I can make my first comment. Thank you for being you Jenny. Your fun attitude inspired me to make my first quilt at the age of 62 and 11 months. I never learned to sew until I started watching video of you and Donna Jordan on You Tube. This pattern is fun and easy. If I can do it, ANYONE can. Wish I could figure out how to post a pic of one of my quilts.

@UKmaryanne This is so easy 2.5 inches all around the quilt. then add the sides a 4 inch piece with the 1 1.5 piece scrappy strip made with the leftover blocks. Then the top 4 inch square 1 1.5 scrappy strip, 4 inch piece to go across the top and then another scrappy strip, and the 4 inch block and you are finished!

Hi, I love your videos, they walk me thru the process of making the quilts. I finished one a few months ago, and was about to put a label on it. I realized I loaned the pattern to a friend that is out of town. I just can't remember the name of it. I wil try to send you a photo of the finished quilt made with 10' layer cake of batiks. I am shamless in asking you, but I did watch it faithfully.

I think that this is a fabulous tutorial even though it has been 4 years ago. What I would like to see from you is how to finish the quilt, do you pin, spray baste and can people actually complete this on their own without a long arm. I don't think anyone gets tired of the basics in any tutorial especially if this is their first or 10th quilt, just do a quick rundown of what to do after you make your quilt top, some times I don't want to have to search the net to try and figure out the best way to finish one of your quilts.

Penny, I had a friend make this using 2 layer cakes and some additional yardage for borders, and it was 99x108 with borders on, so I think two layer cakes and yardage, or if you don't want yardage for borders, go for 3 layer cakes!
