I have two theories: 1). All languages have built-in obsolescence, that are a reflection of the mortal minds of humans, resulting in an inevitable decline and extinction of that civilization. 2). We are actually a comedy show for alien-lizard people...

I had watched a previous podcast with George Gammon on the Canadian Prepper KZitem Channel, where he was relating details of his trip with Doug to Argentina. George had remarked, and to paraphrase it as best as I remember, that the Argentinians would not accept gold or silver in settlement of an exchange. George went on to say that only hard cash - even hyper inflating Argentinian pesos - would be accepted or on occasion, a type of cryptocurrency (Tether?). So George put forth the conclusion from that experience that neither gold nor silver would suffice as a medium of exchange in economic crisis or worse (i.e. civil war). What I believe George had failed to observe. and you can mention to him that I had said this - that the reason Argentina is the way it is, is because of the Argentinians themselves. These are a people with a virtually undisturbed history of making incredibly bad decisions ranging from economics to politics. There was only a very brief period of time where the expression "rich as an Argentinian" rang true. The very great majority of Argentina's economic and political condition had been spent making the worst possible decisions imaginable, which includes not accepting gold and silver as a legitimate exchange of value. And this sort of belief system will likely continue, until it doesn't. Perhaps Javier Milei's election marks the reversal of that ongoing tragic character flaw in the Argentine citizenry.

I remember that episode, it surprised me that he said few places would accept bitcoin. Based on their inflation problems I assumed everyone would want BTC but I think he said people preferred Tether or some other stable coin. That makes sense considering the volatility of BTC for people trying to escape the volatility of the Peso. Whatever their workarounds for the currency problems are, they were around for many years before BTC came on the scene so maybe they prefer the old ways

I like George Gammon, but he studies "economics" and not much politics and governments. When a countries currency is hyperinflating because of government over spending, people will absolutely accept gold and silver as a means to conduct transactions and as a means of preserving wealth. However when a new governments comes in and introduces massive austerity measure's as Javier Milel did, then at that point the local currencies becomes scares enough that people need it to conduct business. Its my understanding, based on what George Gammon explained that ATM's in Argentina only dispense a maximum of 40$ per day, since Milel took over. In the next few months, if not already the Argentinians peso will no longer be hyperinflating.... for the simple reason that there is a lack of currency supply for people to conduct daily business. The flip flop from hyperinflation to deflation in a country is absolutely controlled by governments and central banks, and trying to predict what direction it will go is very difficult. I believe this what the main point George Gammon was also trying to make.

This obsession with Russia by the Neocons was best summarised by the late Gonzalo Lira in one of his episodes back in Feb-22. You only have to look at the background of the major neocons to understand there are ancient ancestral hatreds at play but I shall say no more!

Hi Doug. I watch all your videos and I have learned a lot. I live in Ireland and the question is , if in an emergency would I be right in saying the Isle of Man is a safe place to migrate to? It’s supposed to have great perks. No capital gains and low tax income , no left wing or corrupt government and has no ties with eu or uk . I haven’t heard you mention this location. If you hold an Irish passport you can live there I believe. I would love to hear your thoughts and is this new to your ears?

I m Latvian and have not heard that Latvian government is issuing such warnings/statements. Anyone have a link to this?
@@DougCaseysTake thank you. I did read it just now and in fact it says how communities should decide how to dispose bodies before conflict on page 49. However, i m not shocked at all, since the beginning of the SMO Latvian government is trying to increase russofobia in country by destroying statues, banning Russian media, Russian cars and export or import from Russia. Around 50% of population in country is Russian speaking (with Latvian passports). So most likely it will follow the footsteps of Ukraine. I have left the country and many of my friends have sold properties as they too see how bad decisions Latvian government is making. And as I am working with government tenders, i have noticed purchases of armors, sticks and gloves for police to control masses. Purchases for 15000 foldable beds, foldable containers. 400 different types of patches for army. Bullets and other munition is purchased with no bid contracts. So they are clearly preparing for war
