Author Douglas Adams (1952-2001), just two weeks after his first expedition to Madagascar in search of the Aye-Aye, talks enthusiastically about his new found passion. He was already planning a return trip which would ultimately lead to his book and accompanying BBC Radio series, "Last Chance To See", written with Mark Carwardine.

This is a clip from a long interview with Douglas conducted in May 1985 on the roof garden of his Islington home, by documentary maker Kevin Jon Davies, a former animator for the TV series of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. The camera and sound crew included David Hicks, Mark Ayres and Elaine Davies.
