The siren you hear for the first two mins is the Powercall on "Powercall", then we he cuts it back on it is the "Powercall Plus" setting.

I love the way you guys throw those huge trucks around. Great driving, I would hate to have you come up behind me while driving blasting away though!!

These are Grover 1510's. I'd know because we have the same ones on our reserve engines. They sound great with maintenance.

Drivers hear the siren, they see the fire truck coming thru the intersection. Hopefully they yield to it. Most of the time they arent expecting the second rig. So they yield to the first one, wait for it to pass, then continue on their merry way.

i think it was the first intersection they went thru together. you want the trucks to be at least 500 feet apart. Reason being, if they're any closer, theres a really good chance of the second one getting hit.

If the second truck is far enough back, then it can pass thru the intersection against a second group of drivers, or it gives the first group of drivers enough time to realize that theres a second truck coming. My department, which is ems only, has a policy. If ever we're running code, and happen to be running down the same street as any other piece of equipment, like city fire, we drop back at least 500 feet from them.

Nice video. Where in Dover was this job? I lived there on the base from 1979-84. I haven't been back since 1986 so I really couldn't recognize much.

Neither...The Power 6 Adam and Baker do not have a "Powercall Plus" setting. They both utilize the 6 Adam in place of the Powercall Plus. This is most likely and Powercall DX5.

@bnsf4 I can't seem to find em either. They sound like horns from overseas cab over semi's. Wish I could find out what horns they are. They definitely aren't Grovers. I got a Grover in my car right now.

@bnsf4 Definitely not a Grover, Sound like Hadlys to me. Grovers have more of a sqawky sound.
