I think this is the best version I've ever heard of the beautiful Yeats poem put into song form. Her voice is amazing This poem is one of my favourites by Yeats, I discovered it through a beautiful soul who came into my life one time long ago ❤

"Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet; She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree; But I, being young and foolish, with her did not agree. In a field by the river my love and I did stand, And on my leaning shoulder she placed her snow-white hand. She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs; But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears." --William Butler Yeats ("Sally"=Willow)

This is my tribute for Brian Friel (writer of Dancing At Lughnasa and Philadelphia, Here I Come) who sadly passed away today at the age of 86... May his magical playwright live on in our hearts. Rest in peace sir...

Unique phrasing. She opens up the poem to the imagery. It's brilliant. I wonder if Ms. Keane listens to Jimmy Scott.
