Definitely recommend mid level riders do a telemetry day with a pro like Dialled.Telementry to get a good base setting and learn what good suspension feels like, most mid level riders simply wont get to those settings without guidance

With regards to adjustability as you said at the end. It would be amazing to see that filtering down to enduro bikes. Reach adjust, chain stay adjust etc. it would be especially good for those like myself that fall into the cusp of two sizes.

Nooo, most riders can't set up a bike with the adjustment available at the moment!
@Dawks12
Жыл бұрын
@@traildogisla I get that but as for someone like myself and other like minded people as I assume you are, could benefit by being able to adjust reach and chain stay. Plus if you’re unable to set a bike up in todays day and age with KZitem videos and tutorials, I would say biking probably isn’t for that person 😂
@traildogisla

@@Dawks12👍 how many bikes have never been adjusted, or if they have, stuck in longest/slackest mode and never changed again. Alot of the adjustment are marketing tick boxes, they are tiny adjustments and some scream that that designer couldn't make up their mind. Most of us need consistency in our bikes, not more variables to muck up! 😂
@Dawks12
Жыл бұрын
@@traildogisla I dunno about mucking it up and marketing tick boxes and yes I would agree that people leave the adjustments in the particular settings when they’re dialled in hence why I would like to see other adjustments like reach and chain stay that arguably would be more beneficial to people than a flip chip that doesn’t do a lot. My bike has 455mm reach and although it doesn’t sound a lot I wish it had like a fraction more and with it costing a lot of money and being between sizes I think if the adjustments were there it could solve problems for people like me who have this issue of sizing. 5mm - 7mm reach and chainstay adjustment is quiet a lot especially if you’re in tune with your bike.

High pivot bikes just feel weird, regardless of whether they’re quicker or not. I rode a Brooklyn Racelink back in the day and the more rearward axle path felt unnatural to me. Trying to get the front wheel up to get over stuff was noticeably harder and I couldn’t manual to save my life. I know it’s subjective and I’m only stating my own opinion but I don’t want the fastest bike or the lightest bike, I want the most fun bike - high pivot isn’t that for me, it’s the complete opposite.

If they could change suspension settings through the track and actually have different setting for different lines and not wreck changing it it will go fast for sure. Logic has a new state of the art shock. It’s probably and air shock that they are hiding. Tactical advantage.

@MrMuz99

"Business up front, party in the back" isn't that what defines 'Mullet'?
@gaddobronx6740
Жыл бұрын
From what I understand the mullet bike is better when going downhill as the bigger front and the smaller wheel at the back keeps the bike less steep of an angle. So this gives. More control and better maneuverability. With similar sized tires, the angle is steeper and more likely to go over the bars at steep angles and high speed. That's my understanding I may be wrong

But why "mullet".. what does it mean, this word, and what's the connection..?

It come's from the mullet haircut of the 80s. That haircut was considered "business up front, party in the back". Then the term mullet made it's way into motocross when Kawi introduced the 80cc "big wheel". Bigger front wheel, smaller rear wheel. The rest is history.
