Don't you love the way she aged so beautifully without facial cosmetic surgery? Younger actresses should take note...

To me the best line she had in Downton Abbey was, "What's a weekend?"

I can't pick only one as she delivered many hilarious lines. Downton Abbey won't be the same without her. The world lost one of their best 🥺

Graeme, you need to slow down when you talk. It gets quite garbled at times.

What a formidable and beautiful talent Dame Maggie was, she will be forever missed and shall always be in our hearts. One of the nations greats, gone yes, but will never be forgotten. RIP Dame Maggie, may your long deserved rest be a journey as significant and as stunning, as the one you embarked upon, here on earth. I hope at the next NTA's, the lifetime achievement award, is duly granted to you and your memory. Fly high darling ❤

The most authentic and honest messages of condolences are the ones you do not put on social media. When my parents died i didn't go on social media to write how sad i was or how i felt about it. When my pets died of old age, i never posted a single message anywhere. True grief is internalized not exposed for all to see. Introspection is the only honest way to mourn. It is insane that we live in a time when people think they have to post their most personal and intimate feelings online for the world to see, as if this was normal. It dehumanized the death and makes it vulgar. All in all it is nauseating. And reporting on someone's death for clicks and likes and ultimately for money in your case Neil, is even more vulgar. You are capitalizing on someone's passing, without their consent, and pretend this is the most natural thing in the world, while justifying it by their fame. If you lose someone dear and get really heartbroken, the last thing you want is complete strangers to tell you how sorry they are for you, they are not, or to be reminded of that person's death the second you go online or turn on the TV . Do you realize how wrong that it ?
