I can't imagine how _fulfilled_ Stephen Chbosky must feel. To have written a book that's so personal to him, then to have written and directed the film too - with this particular cast and crew. What a remarkable - and remarkably rare - achievement.

So funny they say "This film was made for one kid in Nebraska." I live here. My cousin grew up on a farm, plays football, basically a typical country kid. We have very different taste in things and he's never been a fan of any "cult films" I've made him watch, so one night I invited him over to watch Perks, hoping it might resonate with him as a teenager. He absolutely loved it - so much so he immediately made us go to the store so he could buy himself a copy of the movie. Says it's his favorite movie now. It was able to strike something in him that the cast was hoping for. So congrats, Ezra and Mr. Chbosky. You found your one kid in Nebraska!

Best interview ever, this was my first time seeing Stephen and he was just like I imagined the author of perks to be so it's no wonder the cast had all the trust and faith that a man that could write this kind of book would be someone they would want to work with 100% Ezra is essentially Patrick he's so cool and his laugh just makes you want to make him laugh because he's just so funny. I also love how he can be funny like that but also knows when to be serious and get work done so I'm sure he's a pleasure to work with both as a fellow actor and as a director or something because 9/10 times he'll be doing work he enjoys doing and he'll make sure you know that so you'll know he cares and he will give it his all. To me perks is one of those movies kinda like Palo Alto that are super special and I will watch over and over again because I'll never get tired of them and I'll always get the same feeling as the first time. Just like that girl I would also say thank you if I ever met any of them because it was one of the best told stories.

I'm soooo glad this movie came out now instead of 10 or so years ago. A) because of the actors but B) because it's nice to finally have a feel good teen angst movie to call our own. I mean, I love the Breakfast Club and 16 Candles as much as the next person and I can watch them countless times, but having a movie for our generation that we can really relate to and that we can call our own....is just Amazing.

This movie has inspired me in such an intense way, and it makes it that much more amazing to learn that the creators and actors behind the film are not only inspiring through their work, but inspiring through their intentions, opinions, and perspectives. Thank you for sharing such a beautifully done interview.

Ezra Miller is so fascinating. He's a little bit mystical. His intelligence and how articulate he is reminds me of how Russell Brand was when he came on the scene, taking that obvious deep understanding and knowledge of his art form (acting/comedy) and just putting that in interviews whilst being SO good at it, and so relatable, young and vibrant. Also, the bizarre, masculinity muddled with slight androgyny only adds to the mystique. I really hope Ezra carries on being brilliant and wonderful =)
