Thank you sir for posting this video, I could’ve just done it but I really appreciate the little things like how to disconnect the electrical connections, they are all a little different to separate and pretty easy to break. Also just the tips on how you got it apart are a big help. You’re the man!

its good to put some dummy plugs on those hanging sensor wires to keep dirt out then zip tie the wires so they dont bounce around..it makes it easy to revert back when needed.

Good video and description. Question, do you need to go into the computer to deal with the sensors being unplugged? Fixing to do this on a 2012 6.7L Ram. Jr wants it louder (of course, lol), so figured I'd help him. Any advice would be appreciated (I am mechanically inclined, Jr, not so much....)

You would need a tune so that you don’t get check engine light and limp mode.

Does this tuner you used to keep the CEL off and out of limp mode. Give the truck more power or just to keep the CEL off?

If my tail pipe is dirty my DPF is done right? I’ve had a DTC for 2000 miles so could not have a regen but it does not go into limp mode or run anything but great.
@OutpostCTD

It’s possible that the dpf is cracked inside. A little soot on the tailpipe can be normal on higher mileage trucks. My tailpipe had some and my dpf was okay.

@@OutpostCTD I’ve spent $4000 at three places including dealer who reflashed ECM and nobody can give diagnoses. DTC is “ lost Comm with O2 sensor module.” I spent $400 for two new modules and nothing. Truck sits 12 hours and no code for 6-7 miles. It will even pass smog if I get there before light comes back on.

What did you put instead of that? Anything? a staight homemade inox pipe? Or what?
@OutpostCTD

Pretty much. It’s called a race pipe and allows you to keep the factory down pipe and tail pipe sections as well as that small muffler
