Listen.. about a month ago I didnt have work on a Friday but my husband did and I debated keeping our son home from daycare because, why send him to daycare when Im at home? BUt then I decided, "No.. Im going to have a me day" so I woke up, dropped our son off, and did just that. Went to Starbucks, walked around some stores to window shop, then ended my day with lunch and a movie.. listen... I cried 3 times during that movie and I dont even think it was the movie but just the release of being ME for just a few hours was overwhelming. Since then, my husband is encouragingly me to take a FULL me day at least once a month and Im so grateful. We must remember that God wants us to REST and its God honoring to do so.

Many pastors need to listen to this coz they keep teaching folks that having faith means basically not having emotions. There’s a lot of misunderstanding and shame that comes with emotions in the church and it’s really damaging. Especially the “if u know the outcome, why fret?!” teaching

A few years ago, I felt life was blowing up and requested a 3 day retreat in a hotel for my birthday. I was told that i was running away from my problems and i didnt need to do it... i listened bc i trusted that counsel, and life increasingly got heavier. I've asked again once since but didnt push for it... so NOW I'm only a few minutes in, and I am determined that I am doing this. I need to be alone. I work from home, home school, and I am always feeling responsible for someone or something. I believe part of how I made it through my childhood as "ok" as I did was because I was able to be by msyself often to think and imagine and relax. I need to get back to that, and to not feel guilty for wanting to get away. If i dont get anything else from this, I will get that. We just left the beach and every morning i got away and just either sat by the ocean or walked or listened... it was amazing. Whew. I'm getting so much and yall havent even started the deep stuff yet LOL I just finished and I literally feel like the Father led me to this. The garden. The ocean. I used to have an image of a garden and called it my happy place. It was always a place of just perfevt peace... it was always a place of safety for me... it was God's gift for me personally and emotionally I believe.. and here lately, within the last month I actually (tearfully) exclaimed that I felt like my garden had turned into a bunch of weeds and I was so sad and heartbroken. Ive tried tk fix myself spiritually while ignoring myself emotionally. I almost audibly could hear God saying I was trying to BE better without BEING better. As in, I was trying to correct things externally without addressing the heartbreak, anxiety, and disappointments, etc that caused them to fall apart. Just pray more. Fast more. Listen to more worship. And evsn realizing that i dont have a safe place eight now. I just prayed a few days ago for God to bring people into my life to be that for me. Chrystal, thank you so much for asking the most spot on questions and circling back - especially to where your home isnt the safe space its supoosed to be. Ive said those exact words. I really juat feel seen right now. Like the thjngs ive been praying and asking God and seeing and saying.. IM NOT CRAZY! It's been the Lord wooing me tenderly to get me to let Him in to heal whats been broken so I could thrive again and finally break out of survivial mode. 13+ years is far too long. I'm ready to bloom. OH MY GOODNESS! Even that phrase, (sorry yall now im rambling a bit) but the phrase made to bloom was stuck in my head and i bought a cup and someone was going to customize it for me. I kept going betwen a row of flowers or the phrase "made to bloom" and then I just said I wanted "Bloom". He is so intentional. And maybe I'm not as far off as I thought. Thank you both so much!!!!

Awesome stuff here w/Dr. Anita Phillips!!! Love her energy...❤️ Would be great to have her as a counselor/therapist/etc.... Quick observation: @Approximately 29:10 or so, Dr. Phillips shared "in part" that all of the mother's eggs/seeds that she'll ever have are already in their bodies at their individual times of birth. And that we are all w/our mother's (& their mother's & so on...) in their ovaries... I learned it a little differently from our Dr./Apostle/Pastor & his Prophetess/Elder wife, many years ago. W/all due respect for Dr. Phillips as the qualified doctor that she most beautifully is, I'd like to share their views on this particular point. They shared w/their congregation that... 1st -- Our Heavenly ABBA (Father) AHAYAH (God) made man (Adam) fully equipped w/all of the "seeds-only" in his loins that he will ever need (for life) to produce life. ❤️ 2nd -- Then, HE created Eve (woman) from Adams rib, which came from Adam's womb. While creating Eve, YAH (God) fully equipped her w/all of the "eggs-only" that she would ever need (for life) in her ovaries to be able to receive "life" from Adam's seeds. ❤️ YAH/HE also placed HIS OWN DNA that HE designed into both of their DNA's to "mark" them as HIS chosen "seed"... This was the final equation of all of the DNA's/Genetic materials being essential for both of the male seeds & the female eggs to come together --- through the most beautiful fertilization process of them making love w/one another .❤️°*~•.👶🏽•~*°```❤️```°*~•.👶🏽.•~*°❤️. &... creating a beautiful baby boy or girl!!! ____________________________ Thus, "life" is in the seeds not in the eggs that must be fertilized 1st by the seeds in order to even become a life. Ijs for clarity b/cuz it does matter how this is taught... Even more insightful, Our Heavenly ABBA YAH (Our Heavenly "MALE" Father Figure & CREATOR of all things...) miraculously placed HIS OWN "seed" into the earthly virgin Mother, Mary. As most people may know that 9 months later, Mary gave birth to YAH'S (God's) Only Begotten Son, YesHAYAH (Jesus) Ha'Mashiakh (The Messiah) -- The Lion of The Tribe of Yehudah (Judah)!!!✨🦁✨ Again, the seed fertilized the egg, & gave it life!!! ❤️ In essence, we are all w/our father's, first, & not w/our mother's. The Scriptures share w/us that "YAH (God) knew us before HE placed us into our mother's wombs." ❤️✨👑✨❤️ Prayerfully, this has been helpful & revealing... 🙏🏾 🙏🏽 🙏🏾 🙏🏽 🙏🏾 SHALOM, (Abundant Peace & Blessings,) ~~Anita

I've realized that the education Dr. Philips is giving us is the scriptures "be renewed in the spirit of your mind" . In the order it was meant to be given. The heart, the body . With this education you automatically are being renewed because it causes a person to speak differently about yourself, your circumstance . As we change our approach to our lives acknowledgely the heart, the body our choice of words change. We are being renewed day by day as we grow in this awareness of ourselves. I am more and more changed day by day (or year and month it's a process😁)and I realized I speak differently about myself and see things differently. These talks are amazing thank you both so much for spilling out your lives like you do.

I must say, this was dead on. I feel like my 40's have been the worst. I celebrated 5 years of being breast cancer free when I celebrated my 40th birthday! I knew how my 30s were and felt, 40's is my time to evolve and pivot. I'm going through a phase in my life where I'm realizing my coping skills and my way of getting by while life is lifeing is not enough. Usually, my smooth jazz and gospel music ease me. Normally, my pen to paper when I journal replaces the frustration I may have. Without getting in-depth, I just want to thank you both for sharing. Long story short, I'm not a reader. Im 44 and have read two books in my life from start to finish. When this podcast ended, I had several screenshots of key points I want to reference and share with the ladies in my church, as well as outline when I get my book!!! I am working on a motivational book that I'm writing to myself, and much of what was shared I can relate to. I especially like how we "women that understand what you both were saying, but don't have time or don't know how" were recognized. Often time information is shared from one perspective, and not all. For example, there are many books on how to build financial wealth, but what about those that don't have to start? Thank you for understanding and being transparent!!!

It’s the spirit that feeds the heart. Dr. Joel Tudman has a really good word with connections of the spirit and heart as it relates to faith in his sermon ‘the ramifications of faith’. Very good word. When we go to church and we are praising, seeking, knocking, etc, I believe a lot of that is for the soul (mind, will, and emotions), not our spirit. The spirit is always ready, it’s the flesh that is weak. Our soul is what needs the restoration. The Spirit goes to work on that soul. The heart is also involved and that purification process by the LORD is working thru our spirits in the heart space. All in tandem. Absolutely amazing experience when I think about it

This talk represents so many things that I love about Chrystal's interviews... she asks great questions, she's not afraid to dig, and respectfully engage... whomever said to her that no where in Scripture does it tell us to go to ourselves for answers... I think of passages that tell us to 'examine ourselves' (2 Cor 13:5, 1 Cor 11:28-32) and 'be discerning'. Knowing ourselves seems to be part of our life as Christ followers; Christ is always the ultimate answer. Thanks Chrystal and team for your work to maintain this platform of encouragement, because this is tough to work through! Also I love Dr. Anita! 💛💛🟡🟡

‘Inside Out’ I looooovvee that movie. That disappointment Dr Phillips referenced is my experience. I meet goals but get really disappointed when the feeling isn’t as high as expected especially from all that I feel like I just lost getting to goal. I start to think ‘is it worth it’ and how could I have assessed whether it was or not wisely before I expended all that I expanded. Counting the cost is what the spirit has rooted in me about that as I continue to ask God for more wisdom everyday. Entirely.

I am listening to this convo as I am helping my Mom who has hoarded things clean out her house. This is so timely for me. Time for me to make sure I get watered.
