Course Summary:
This one-hour webinar outlines strategies to prevent feeding difficulties and optimize infant feeding performance. It includes exploration of how families and care providers in the NICU can facilitate and support the natural developmental trajectory of infants by consistently utilizing supportive feeding practices.
Speaker Bio:
Kristy has 25 years of experience working with babies and families. She is the owner of a private consulting business entitled Infant Feeding Strategies with the goal of supporting NICU education in the areas of feeding and developmental care. Kristy is trained in Prechtl’s Method on the Qualitative Assessment of General Movements, NOMAS, EFS and has achieved Level I NIDCAP reliability. She has presented in the Midwest as well as on a national level including the NANN (National Association for Neonatal Nurses) annual conference.
