Dre the best, but man them 70's dudes were just on a whole nothing level. I can not get this sound out my mind. It has my spirit lifting even without the song playing. From January 1970 to December 1979 I believe I heard the best collaboration of music making out of any decade ever. Spirits were extremely high before and after concerts.

It could be that he does not want to take away from the song by adding his own elements. I remember reading that a producer named "Green Lantern" saying he didn't play on his remix for Mary Jane by Rick James. There are different elements on that mix but they may only have been samples of the song's different instruments programmed to play along at different points of the song. Dre's focus was more on mixing the song's tracks with little additional elements such as the drums and claps playing along.
