When I first met my wife she found out that I could play the guitar and she asked me to play her a song. Only a week prior I had heard this song on the radio for the first time in at least 30 years, so I thought it would be funny if I learned how to play it just to get a laugh out of people. I played it for her, and it became our song. People look at us funny when we dance to it, but we don't care. It's just for us.

Grab your girl and hop in the backseat of your mom and dad's 72 Plymouth station wagon:-). This is one of my all time favorite songs of all time! I love Dr Hook, one of my favorite bands...saw them live one time a long time ago:-). My wife and I love to sing along with this one in the car......we both have really great memories of this song as kids when our parents would take us to the drive in theater, or to the A&W, or in my case my mom worked 2nd shift when I was little, and I would sit on the floor of the living room with these songs playing on the stereo (when they were originally on the radio) playing with my hotwheels/legos while mom cleaned house and got ready for work back in the day.

I do but I'm from Middle Michigan and we had manners. I live in North Carolina and the most polite thing I have heard anyone say is "Well bless your heart!" Mind you, if you are from the south you can confirm, that doesn't mean what it sounds like...it's kind of like saying F... You "politely ".
