Sin is sin in the sense that any sin is enough to seperate you from the perfect holy almighty God that we serve and worship. 1 sin, and we deserve hell. However, there are sins that are worse than other sins. We know this because in Gods law therr are different degree/levels(more severe) of punishment that one will face according to what sin was committed. Such as rape or murder - death penalty. Theft, repay the fines, etc.

Only the truth can set you free and I am so thankful to have Dr. White's example of how to speak the truth of the Bible so clearly. We have bought the lie that the truth is ugly and harsh. Though it may be hard to hear, it is only the truth of Jesus bearing our sin, defining our sin, that can save and that makes the truth beautiful. He gives us beauty for ashes. If you say that homosexuality is not a sin, then there is no sin covering for you, no need to repent and be saved. The church has gone silent on the homosexuality+ issue for too long and it will be the very thing we are demanded to recant to remain "good citizens." The state and Jesus are at odds and all I can think about are Jesus' words that if you deny Him before this sinful and adulterous generation, He will deny you when He comes with His angels. Count the cost, Jesus says that this who lose their life for His sake will find it. He is trust worthy and faithful to keep His word. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.

I can’t believe people can’t understand that life is defined by the creator not the created,the way God defined life was purposeful for procreation and is an extension of the only holiness and the only wisdom there is in existence which comes from the Lord alone , what God has designed is for the good of mankind,people’s sinful desire is causing confusion of the which God is not the author and is causing obvious destruction in society and is causing the breaking apart and breaking down of society and if you follow this to it’s obvious end you come to the utter end of mankind ,how is this a good thing?Satans greatest scheme is to destroy any and all design that God layed out and instead force in his utter sinful deplorable and unholy plan ,if Satan can water down truth then he can water down society then he can water down individual people to the point where there is no obvious direction in existence therefore there’s no order which obviously means no creator therefore you can do what you want and you can create your own truth which is not and cannot be truth and this further on leads to Satan’s obvious goal which is to get u believing there is no sin therefore no need for a savior therefore no accountability ,therefore DESTRUCTION in its end, when nasa sends a satellite to mars the trajectory must be perfect on this end here on earth within centimeters before sending the satellite simply because if your off by a hair here then you WILL ,not may, end up a million miles off when getting to mars ,u will never reach mars ,Satan has implemented this same principle spiritually ,if u give him an inch he will take a mile and eventually he will have taken millions of them,Society IS crumbling folks.😰😡, give no place to the devil .

You are made in the Image of the Living God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If you've lied, lusted, stolen, killed, were blasphemous etc., you have sinned and the wages of sin - is death, eternal punishment, separated from the Lord God who created you. Jesus Christ is God the Son and entered into His own Creation and became Flesh. He was born of a virgin and He died on a cross. Nailed my sin there too. Was placed in a grave and rose again on the third day. And now He is at the right Hand of God the Father; making intersession for me, until the day He takes me home. When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, there were many eyewitnesses. Jesus Christ's resurrection is the most SURE and true thing in all of history! We are all sinners. We deserve the wrath of God. You are made in the Image of the Living God, so do not harm yourself. Do you know where you will go when you die? Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, to the right Hand of the Father, so that there is no condemnation for those who believe. Jesus Christ is God the Son and entered into His own creation. Jesus was born of a virgin, died for the sins of all who believe on Him. Jesus Christ defeated all His enemies. He was dead for three days, He defeated death and has the keys to Life and Death. Jesus Christ took care of business. On the cross, our Lord and Savior said "it is finished". So it was finished. Amen. Jesus Christ has the keys to Hell. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believes on Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days after His crucifixion, and because He raised Himself from the dead, and the Father raised Him from the dead and the Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead, we who are in Him, shall also be raised on that day of the coming of our Lord and Savior. Imputed righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ credited to the Christian, enabling the Christian to be justified; imparted righteousness is what God does in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit after justification, working in the Christian to enable and empower the process of sanctification. Hebrews 4:12, KJV: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." We have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. All my sins were paid for on Calvary. John 14:6 ESV Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most factual thing in all of history! A Warning: Galatians 1:8-9 King James Version 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

everyone is entitled to his freedom of choice and that is biblical, but based on one's choices, one will either be punished or rewarded. the bible/scriptures are the foundation of the christian faith, if one disbelieves anything written in the book cannot be a christian. the scriptures is the manual/guide to which we must obey. if you do not approve of anything written you can simply go thy way, and believe what you think suits you best, in the end we will see how GOD will judge. we dispute many topics in the bible,and we dispute what we believe, what we think GOD believes,we quote scriptures. yet no one really acknowledge the role the devil plays in the new views that are evolving. if you disbelieve the book, ye are of your father the devil. the book has spoken and we have heard it clearly

And when it comes to quoting bible, that's just plain stupid. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:" How twisted do you have to be, to think that fearing is a positive thing? LukeSumIpsePatremTe If a wife has involuntary sexual thoughts about an ex boyfriend or neighbor, but she doesn't act on these thoughts because of the fear of dishonoring her husband and the shame it will bring, how can fear not be viewed as a positive emotion, since it can provoke positive responses? 16:45 evolution is not "completely random". Obviously it is influenced by factors of mutation, environment, predation, and other pressures. It is seen not as "random", but un-guided. There's a difference. 27:59 this would only be as incisive as Dr. White thinks it is *if* the notion of "loving one's neighbor as themselves" were exclusive to the Bible, which is certainly not the case. Loving one's neighbor as oneself quite often has a clear social benefit which can be perceived in the here and now. No outer standard is mentioned, nor is one needed.

While I agree with White's views that marriage should be between a man and a woman and that homosexual sexual acts and relationships are damaging and should not be encouraged; he is wrong to tie it in with secularism. The laws of the US have always been the product of secular bodies and institutions and homosexuality was illegal in most states up until the 1950's. What has changed in recent times is our culture - or at least some parts of it. He should also be mindful that homosexual relations and same sex marriage are condemned by Islam too. And that man/woman marriage predates both Christianity and Judaism.
@panzermarche
8 жыл бұрын
Dr. White is mindful that the marriage covenant predates all religions Dr. White would tell you that the marriage covenant was ordained by God Himself as a Endemic ordinance before the Fall. This nation's founders never meant to establish an quasi-theocracy, but a republic that recognized Biblically based absolutes.
@TheSmithDorian
8 жыл бұрын
panzermarche "Dr. White would tell you that the marriage covenant was ordained by God Himself as a Endemic ordinance before the Fall" He might indeed say that - but it would just be speculation on his part wouldn't it? The Bible doesn't actually tell us this does it. "This nation's founders never meant to establish an quasi-theocracy, but a republic that recognized Biblically based absolutes." It's not what the founders thought that's the issue. The Constitution generally doesn't enumerate individual laws or statutes, it just provides a framework. Most of the laws that exist today are enacted by either state or federal legislative bodies.Those bodies are secular in terms of structure but are made up of individuals of whom the vast majority are Christians All the Supreme Court Justices are Christians as were every Supreme Court Justice ever appointed. The recent legalization of same sex marriage has not come about because lawmakers and judges are belong to bodies that were previously not secular but now they are. The rules that these bodies are required to operate under haven't changed and their memberships haven't recently become atheist rather than Christian. The Supreme Court ruled that same sex marriage is a constitutional right and all 9 of the Justices on the panel were Christians. What has changed (for the worst) is the culture that we live in and one of the ways that this seems to be being expressed is in attitudes to homosexuality, marriage "equality", gender definition etc. If the issue of same sex marriage would have been put to the Supreme Court Justices in 1950 or 1900 or 1850 I've no doubt that they would have ruled against it without a seconds thought - whether or not the majority of them were democrats or republicans. So I think White is, at best, being too simplistic in drawing the line on this issue between the Christian and the secular. I myself am an atheist and I am absolutely against same sex marriage and the right of same sex couples to adopt children. In addition it's worth noting that in a 2016 poll, 55% of Americans supported same sex marriage in one form or another. Whereas 74% of the population claims to be either Christian or another faith that shares the same position on homosexuality. So if 55% of the population supports same sex marriage but only 23% of the population are atheists/agnostics - the issue is clearly not just about the views of us immoral. heretical, gospel denying unbelievers. There is obviously a problem closer to home within the Christian 'family'.

Some or most of the Bible has been lost in translation throughout the years. When I die, I'll deal with my God and he will see the love in my heart. And only HE WILL and CAN judge me.

Ummmm, I have a father and when I was young, I didn't receive and "brutal" love. So idk what you're talking about. Ppl are born as artists or math geniuses. Are there those genes found in them as well. First, learn about what genes and DNA have to actually do with your likes before spouting off that BS that "there is not gay gene". Just because there might not be a gene. Doesn't mean you can't like what you like. I really doubt you can find genes for everything you like.

And BTW, I really don't think God would judge ppl based on some book created by men. One of the things Jesus said was not to judge, and love one another. A lot of ppl miss that. The Bible was mostly created to control society in the Roman days.

In the Sodom and Gomorrah story it says the 'men of the town' asked for the angels in order to have sex with them. The condemnations in Leviticus were against male homosexuality. I wish this guy would answer why female homosexuality is ignored. Does this mean it's OK for women to engage in homosexuality until the writing of the Book of Romans? The word 'arsenokoitais' in 1 Corinthians or I Timothy refers only to male homosexuals. Why isn't a word used to include female homosexuality on the sin list? Maybe this could be explained if we understand Biblical times were patriarchal which allowed polygamy? this guy can tell you the ancient Hebrew word for 'abomination' and the Greek word for homosexuals (only male) but he cannot explain how to cure these people of this problem. If they are required to live a life long celibate existence, how is that 'life enhancing' when that cannot produce life either. just wondering

deadeye851 Of the long list of abominations in the bible, white picks homosexuality to harp on. Why ? Because that's the one that's the most emotional and the one that lets people feel the most self righteous about. Don't you see ? He's exploiting your emotions, your fears and prejudices... it's called demagoguery. Why didn't white pick lying, another abomination that we all commit ? Or eating pork, bearing false witness, being proud...

I watched it. Spong was infuriatingly unable to stick to the debate format and just gave rambling anecdotes about how nice lots of gay ppl are. He doesn't believe scripture is 'God breathed' so any debate on what verses actually mean is pretty pointless. Who cares what Paul really meant if his writings were just the musings of a man with no divine inspiration? Spong doesn't even believe the whole 'road to Damascus' event. It was a mess. Both White and the moderator tried continually to get Spong to adhere to the format, to answer questions he was asked, to stick to time limits. He said he didn't think the direct questioning section was helpful or interesting, kinda high handed given that the rules were what he had agreed to beforehand and that they were for the benefit of the audience. He also stated that he was CONVINCED Paul was a repressed gay man without of course being able to provide the quality of evidence he demands of those asserting things he doesn't agree with!! White and the moderator were very patient. Episcopalians are like the CofE, it's more of a hobby than anything else. They're so bloody woolly.

I think your premise is more about making Christianity look like "hate" when the truth is being told about what the Word of God has to say about the particular sin that is coveted.If the subject were adultery, another form of sexual sin according to the Word of God; you probably wouldn't have much to say. Personally, I'm not bothered when I see people outside of Christ living in ANY sort of habitual sin.The world does what the world does. But when habitual sin of any kind finds it's way in the church, we are charged to confront it biblically in order to bring the person to repentance and genuine relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This also serves as preventative maintenance to keep sin as a whole from spreading within the body of Christ which Is His church.

Are you sure about that? Listen, we could go back and forth all day about your point of view on the matter and what the Word of God says. We may not agree on much. But there is one thing that is absolute and without question; that is death. What we don't know for certain is how or when it will come or how it will play out for us as individuals in terms of eternity after the fact. In light of that, your position in regards to the matter of sin is a huge gamble with more at stake than you could ever imagine. Js

We shouldn't have to gamble with "a God of love". Here's a direct quote from my non-fiction book, God's Other Children: 'The belief in an afterlife is a popular fantasy, but this life is it, baby! At a date and time that most of us are not privileged or unfortunate to know in advance, death will become us, and our beliefs or none will cease with our last heartbeat. Only a fool will waste this life hoping for the next. The laws of physics and biology tell me that Jesus, if he ever existed at all, died like all living beings ultimately do, and wasn’t up and walking around three days later. Fact: corpses don’t walk unless they are on the set of The Walking Dead television series. However, if I choose to believe otherwise, and knowingly go against common truth (reality!), then I would be engaging in a crazy dance of self-deception. I occasionally see people who strongly resemble friends who are long dead, and I can believe all I like that it is them, but my belief won’t change the reality; it isn’t them! Despite what the Bible says, we know that the deceased do not rise up to catch the latest sale at Harrods, they really don’t! Jesus didn’t rise from the dead either, and that’s okay. His time on Earth, like yours and mine, was limited to a beginning, middle and end. The world will continue to spin after we’re gone, as it did before we arrived, and that’s okay, too.' My book is at Amazon. Very best wishes.

It is insulting to listen to this person. He starts by saying that make homosexuals are different from lesbians. In essence he reduces an entire community to a sex act. Do we view heterosexuals as merely folks who engage in fucking? What connects the LGBTQI community is love, intragender love, intersexual folks who love, bisexuals who love and trans men and women who love. BTW, Q means " questioning ". Another important point. The Hebrew word "toevah" means ritual impurity not abomination. That one mistranslation, is not only important to understanding what the Ancient Hebrews were concerned with, it is important to understanding conceptions of accountability.

So what's wrong with a father showing his "love" to his daughter? To his son? To his dog? Why are these forms of "love" forbidden? Why do homosexuals insist on going through a form of what they call 'marriage' if, by so doing, they are reducing their capacity to "love" to one person?

1) can you name the events it predicted, and those that are happening right now? 2) there is nothing to deny, when there is nothing that you claim was proven in the first place. 3) name me example of when bible provided an answer to a science question and understanding of universe in specific, now that you mention it. 4) there are over thousand of gods and divine beings that were created by mankind before your story of jesus and god. 5) every book that was written was written by men, claiming it was the words of god, there are nothing more than claims. not even jesus confirmed if the old testament is the actual truth, he had a chance when he was alive, but did not.

God creates human beings both gay or straight, so who are we to question Him? If creating gay people does not bother God, then why does it bother some of us? Being gay is NOT a sin and being straight is NOT a sin. Gay people are entitled to live their lives as fully as straight people. If that includes marriage and raising a family; then so be it.

Chas Sinclair You have never read the Bible obviously. The passages in Leviticus say it is an abomination and Jesus said marriage is between and man and a woman only. Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ 7 ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife,[a] 8 and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Further Jesus is the second person of the Trinity and is the ultimate author of scripture, what is said in the OT He affirms in the NT.
