You are wrong unfortunately. "Liquid Oxygen" isn't that, it is hydrogen peroxide and it doesn't oxygenate anything, it is highly reactive and oxidizes the first suitable thing it comes in contact with. It is very effective at that which means that it will oxidize a portion of what ever is in your stomach. This might be totally harmless or not but for sure it will do nothing what so ever to make you healthier.

What about someone who chronically holds their breath due to, say, anxiety. Or, forgetting the exact terminology... alveolar adaptation... hypercapnea....chronic carbon monoxide exposure (that will show only with an uncommon blood/gas test, rather than pulse oximetry). I only have minimal medical knowledge, sure. I also don’t have oversight in my learning which is bound to cause errors. There are things I think I know, but am aware I could have wrong.... but I already know enough to see you’re not being entirely open and honest with this - definitely. I’m slowly learning more and more about health. I will never be the standard of a medical doctor. But I know good research, and valid sources from my 3 years at law school (with good grades, but dropped out with the birth of a child, and realising I hated studying law), Most who need supplemental oxygen will receive it in a medical setting/medically prescribed/with medical oversight.. Most who would buy this product, would not need supplemental oxygen at all - and its a waste of money. But there is a line somewhere down the middle, where this product could help. People who’s pulse oximetry is fine, when only blood/gas would have uncovered lack of oxygenation - carbon monoxide.. systemic illness... etc. doctors may look elsewhere, when oxygenation was the issue. I suspect those in heightened states, hyper-stimulated types, chronic anxiety... may benefit by this product. Some people chronically hold their breath, which causes unhealthy dioxide retention - surely this would help. Assumptions** I’m making you would need to dispute for this to be an honest video... 1. ingesting liquid oxygen results in oxygen entering the blood stream, thereby increasing the amount of oxygen that attaches to the red blood cells. 2. Some people require supplemental oxygen who are missed by medical professionals, and aren’t aware of the fact themselves. I have zero doubt on my second assumption. If you doubt that, you shouldn’t even be a doctor. On the first assumption, perhaps you could clear things up for me re the science. Cheers. ** re “assumptions”... educated* assumptions. * re “educated”... self-educated, which can result in erroneous interpretations of the literature due to lack of oversight.

Karen Rice-Leroux Yet, I respect someone who is an “expert” in their field. That’s reasonable; I don’t think that’s classist. I stated in my original comment “I will never be the standard of a medical doctor”, in relation to my knowledge of health/the human body...... I acknowledged that. This man would know a lot more about a lot of things related to health than me, I get that - that doesn’t mean he couldn’t possibly have this wrong and a simple “layman” couldn’t correct it.
Oops what about the anaerobic mucas layer lining the gut and the colon? Perhaps you were unaware of the human micro-biome and precisely where pathogens live and how, dissolved oxygen produces wonderful, immediate effects by dissolving and flushing parasites while simultaneously oxygenating your lacto&bifido bacterium (who most certainly need oxygen)? Consider yourself informed and in need of current research. Happy hunting (Dr).

I’m quite certain the stomach and small intestine do absorb oxygen from the air we swallow. So aside from any other points made, I do not understand when you say we don’t need oxygen from our digestive tract? I’m assuming you must mean we can live without the oxygen absorbed from our digestive tract, but then we can also live with just one lung. But we’d be much healthier with two. And I’m thinking any extra oxygen we can get, the better, which is why I feel the body seems it necessary to extract it in the digestive tract as well. I cannot speak to the effectiveness of liquid oxygen products helping increase these amounts, just in your argument implying what the body does as unnecessary. But perhaps I’ve misunderstood. Regardless, I would like to hear a biologists opinion on this as well, I feel like the chemist perspective covers some parts very well but doesn’t quite show the big picture
@timmyrobinson1589
3 жыл бұрын
akosk385 The answer was a bit confused. He doesn’t say we would absorb none - he doesn’t seem to know himself. His argument seems to be we don’t need any extra oxygen - ignoring the fact that hundreds of millions of people do.

I knew of some guy who was rendered a quadraplegic due to spinal cord injury who survived without a ventilator by swallowing air. He was taught to do this by his doctor or rehab therapist. So it is known you can absorb oxygen through the digestive system. Yes, the amount of oxygen which water usually absorbs is miniscule but if it has certain salts (such as sodium chloride or sodium bicarbonate) dissolved in it and is aerated by extreme agitation it will absorb a significant amount of oxygen. So much that it can be too much and cause oxygen toxicity. So beware. You can make oxygnated water at home using a blender by simply putting some water (only water) through a blender. This will both aerate/oxygenate the water and also create "structured" water ("EZ water" or "exclusion zone water" as scientists now call it which is a form of water which is more absorbeable and hydrating).
@sashas3362
3 жыл бұрын
BTW if water can't hold a significant amount of oxygen as claimed in this video (and elsewhere) then how do fish survive? Obviously there is enough oxygen in water for aquatic life to survive on it. But of course I am talking about highly agitated water which becomes aerated. For example, by ocean waves or by splashing over rocks in white river rapids. But even water which is flowing around without any visible aeration will absorb oxygen. It merely needs to move around to expose a large number of the water molecules to air. That is because oxygen has a very strong binding force. It is one of the strongest in chemistry (next to fluoride and maybe sulfer). This is why running water in a blender will oxygenate it. Be careful not to consume too much of such water. I got oxygen toxicity from consuming too much of such water. Caused liver damage. My liver was on the verge of failure as it was probably due to toxicity from some oxygen supplement (pills) I took. So beware.
@hanstun1

@@sashas3362 If you got toxicity from someone telling you that you can get oxygen from a pill I can tell you with 100% certainty that it was not oxygen toxicity. @@hanstun1 Shows how much you know. I knew of some quadraplegic who couldn't breathe without a respirator but later learned to survive without the respirator by swallowing air and absorbing the oxygen through his stomach and intestinal membranes. I'm sure he isn't the only one either because he was taught to do that by his rehab therapists. I'm guessing your knowledge of chemistry is about as competent as your knowledge of biology so won't bother to waste my time arguing with you about the chemistry of those oxygen supplement pills (which you know next to nothing about because I haven't told you what they were). Karen Rice-Leroux I think, as a matter of fact, this indicates a lack of critical thinking by this doctor. Assuming he wrote an article for a legitimate medical journal on this, he would be required to state it benefits him - as it would benefit the whole medical profession - that liquid oxygen does not work. It is too easily synthesised and oxygenation based issues is a multi billion dollar industry. Think critically: some people require oxygen supplementation. Some people will be missed from the typical medical tests (potentially resulting in exorbitant specialist medical fees to try and determine the actual problem (only to fail)...... Same person decides to buy this for 20 bucks, a week later, notices their symptoms have improved. Peripheral issues, cyanosis etc, is improving. One, if a serious medical issue was contributing to it - at least that could point doctors back in the right direction.... if not, if it’s simply anxiety based breath holding, for example, which can start a negative feedback loop - could be fixed. Two: back to the point, critical thinking: some people need supplemental oxygen. I don’t see how this would not increase oxygen levels. Therefore - it would have medical use. To dismiss this as snake oil is ridiculous. To imply this product is ridiculous because we “get oxygen from the air” (insert indignant laughter from doctor sitting in his rolls Royce)..... Dismisses the fact tens of millions of people are already using expensive and bulky supplemental oxygen devices (and within that group, on one end of the bell curve, this could be enough) - and not even on the bell curve - some who are missed where this could be enough.
