I accumulated a world record for 3,796 felony counts, 7,550 misdemeanors, 300 civil cases with 75 pending as well as 5 world records for a 15' 75lb child toss, and numerous other world records (4 others). WTF! How am I essentially serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole in 29 years, 15 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes, and 17 seconds as of right now??? When they may make child toss a competition! I'm using this as grounds on my final appeal! Wish me luck🤞.

I bought the RP plans for diet and hypertrophy back in the day because I watched a lot of Mike's videos. I somehow got worse gains than I did when doing a power building PPL plan I found on reddit for free which is pretty crazy because a powerbuilding plan shouldn't outperform a straight hypertrophy based plan. Also the RP diet made me gain too much fat. A few years later when I found Greg's channel I decided to give his workout book and diet book a try. The diet book was great, but honestly if you don't have that much money to waste on a cookbook he puts some of the best recipes for free on his youtube channel and there are enough there for most people. Greg's training plan was better than RP's, but I wouldn't say it was really worth paying for imo.

What is better, a competition where all competitors have to follow the schedule and weight jumps of one guy leading to many injuries just because one competitor gets whatever he wants or a "comtetition" where one dude is getting the timing and jumps he wants just without competitors because of covid? I think there are two main things in here. What I dislike about Greg is his dishonesty. He makes click bait videos, thumbnails that don't match the content, says things that have no backing and are just his personal opinion as facts and fills a lot of his time that he promised he would give you information on what to do with just random stuff and him yelling or just talking about if, in his opinion, someone on the internet is natty or not. I don't think Dr. Mike is focusing on the nerds or advanced, actually I think it's exactly the opposite. The nerds are reading scientific articles about the stuff and finding what's better by themselves, Dr. Mike is breaking this distinction by making it easy and accessible for the average person who doesn't want or doesn't have the time to go through the literature but cares about knowing what he is doing. It's not nerd to want science based information, that's just being minimally smart, just like I want to take medicine for something that has been tested, it's not because I'm a nerd, it's just because it means it actually works. Channels like his, Jeff Nippard's, House of Hypertrophy and many others serve exactly the purpose of bringing the science to the general, non-nerd population. Considering how dense in information Dr. Mike's videos are and how much yelling and random irrelevant stuff there are in Greg's video I feel like Dr. Mike is actually the channel for people who don't have the time to dive deep into the fitness space and just want the information while Greg's videos are for people with a lot more free time who don't mind spending 90% of their time on general stuff to try to get some information out of there.

I don't like Coach Greg, but I still have respect for him. He says it like it is and doesn't let other people bully him into shifting his opinions. I hate drama though so a drama-farming content creator isn't going to appeal to me anyway. That said, some of his advice, such as maingaining, isn't really ideal for natty lifters and some of his philosophy of lifting is probably influenced by having trained on PED's for much of his career. Dr Mike gets into the details of lifting and definitely appeals more to a more advanced lifting audience who are trying to maximize results and control all the variables possible. He also doesn't shy away from drama though.

Here is the hard thing I think with a majority (my opinion) of strongman fans in America is the distance to reach these big shows, we have to pick and choose maybe one a year if at all. I am lucky and Arnold is in my home city, but for like Worlds, SMOE, or Giants in Vegas I would have to spend upwards of $500+ on just travel to get there not including room and food, or if I drive it is excessive amount of time away since Vegas alone would take me 2-3 days to drive there. Generally speaking for the European comps it is maybe 2-4 hour drive there and back? So a day trip potentially. I hope and think a lot of people will show up to Vegas because they will make it a vacation of being in Vegas as well, just like how I could see us going to a giants live in Europe then making a trip out of it.

For some people like myself with no horse in the race between Eddie and Thor, the 501 pull still feels a little wonky. Despite the conditions and what not, Giants usually bumps the DL record by round increments. Especially now, they have it at 505, not even 502.5. The 501 felt like just a one-up of Eddie, and not a serious attempt at a legacy strength feat. Also, traveling, not sleeping in your bed the night before, being run around by staff definitely isn't ideal. Even pulling on the same platform and with the same bar that you train with could give a slight edge (strength heavily includes motor repeatability). I would still love for Thor to do a 505 or 510 pull at some competition, or even better, a 500 raw pull.

Im also biased, I despise the two faced greg doucette approach. Im sure he is really nice in person. However, I dont compromise myself for money. When i see physio doing this, it really grinds my gears. Its not to say it isn't effective or doesn't have its purpose. I just find it would cultivate an audience i dont want around me. There really is no reason for the 2 to be beefing with each other. I have to say though, i really do agree strongly with Greg's mantra of sayi g what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear. Thats what a good friend/person would do, his content about Mike isn't to throw shade at him, its out of concern, when talking aboht the ifbbpro stuff.

@CloudianMH Before Thor's pec tear, from 2018-2020 what events was he historically terrible at? Because he had a 213kg log, a 206kg axle, won the circus Barbell at WSM 2018. Did 195kg log for 3, hit a 135kg dumbell during a medley and almost broke the world record. That's crazy overhead strength and he's commonly known to be great at every other event.

Mitch you know I'm always looking at the positives, but on an important note to me, you should look up how Greg got into legal trouble in the past with one of my favorite Korean celebrities, Kim Jongkook. He's basically a singer turned TV personality later in his career that always loved to exercise and lift weights. So he created a channel (GYM Jongkook) where he shows other celebrities exercise routines. Greg at the time basically said that it was impossible to be built like that without some level of PEDs. KJK (for short) interrupted all his regular content to take tests with doctors to prove him wrong. Eventually Greg had to release an apology video. Just from that moment I knew when it comes to online presence, Greg only cares about himself. I know you know him on a more personal level but I wish he learned to live by your matra, got the LH, but totally missed the BK.

@@McWhatevs Its not about the WSM thing. Thor competed there 2 times after 2017 and competed in multiple giants live shows, it is because of the slanderous "documentary" colin bryce and eddie made to damage Thors reputation, they even cut out the part were Thor shook Eddie hand after he won, which was unnassacarily stupid, cause it was easy to prove that he did shake eddies hand. Even wasn't for that Video, Thor would compete at WSM and Giants Live. Colin even said, that he regrets doing that video.

Greg Doucette is literally the last person I will tune in to see. To say he is doing "click bait" is an understatement. Dr Mike is someone I watch often and he is more focused on helping folks than just generating clicks. It's kind of like you right now Mitch. Much of your content is click bait, but I personally like the content that is on the more professional side. You don't make a good Greg Doucette clone. Your mantra is "lift heavy and be kind." So I would love if all your videos lived up to that. That said, I'm sure you need the clicks, but you don't need to go to the Greg Doucette level. Just be you Mitch. That is why fans loved you so much last year. I really think some of your videos over the last year have turned many fans off. If that is what you are going for, then by all means continue. These days, I give your videos the 2 minutes rule that we use in my house for TV Show or Movies. Within the first two minutes anyone watching can say NOPE and we turn off the show. Needless to say, I've turned off numerous videos you've put out this year and some I didn't even open due to obvious negative spin. This is just objective feedback from a Strongman fan who used to root for you and now is just neutral. Have a good night. BTW - This video made it past two minutes.
