I feel so very fortunate to be able to share with you an interview I recently did with Dr. Sue Carter PhD, an internationally recognized expert in behavioral neuroendocrinology and oxytocin.
In addition to being a friend, trusted neighbor and a beloved fellow traveller on the journey of grandmothers, Dr. Sue Carter is a Distinguished University Scientist and Rudy Professor Emerita of Biology at Indiana University. A career biologist, Dr. Carter has studied the endocrinology of love and social bonds for more than three decades, and has devoted her life to the study of the behavioral and developmental effects of oxytocin and vasopressin in humans.
As guest lecturers in our Continuum Movement Teacher Modules, Dr. Carter and her husband Dr. Stephen Porges, have had a significant impact on the evolution of Continuum Movement and I am very grateful for their support.
I recently had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Carter about Oxytocin, its role in the recovery from trauma and how this "love hormone" relates to somatic movement in general, and Continuum Movement in particular. I hope you enjoy the interview.
If you'd like to dive more deeply into Continuum Movement, we recommend enrolling in the Hybrid Teacher Training Program. For more information, please visit: continuummovem...
