This is part of yet another new series of monsters I made called “Drachodiaries.” This takes place in a world of anthropomorphic animals, which is actually an idea I borrowed from @pifflesomepuffnadder855, a very old RP that I decided to expand upon. Quoth directly from the Puffster is the synopsis below:
I don't know, dude, I'm pretty sure that roleplay was, like, a one-off from forever ago. I don't really remember much, *but* I could try to expand on it, and maybe add a couple new tidbits to it. So here's a sorta "revised" version of the premise 'cause I guess a remaster's been long overdue.
“Thanks to the crystals being a super sustainable and harmless source of energy, there's no need for fossil fuels and other sky-choking substances, so that's cool. It's an interspecies society where all animals get to vibe and live alongside each other, well most of 'em. The society's a lot like Zootopia, but there's a sorta class system. First there's the rich folks, who they run just about everything in town. They decide who gets more or less of the energy from the crystals, they charge the citizens for the use of said crystals, they even get to build fucking penthouses out of some of the leftover crystal fragments. Rich people, am I right? Meanwhile, the slightly lower class citizens get to live somewhat comfortably on the surface, just doing their own thing. However, when it comes to the moles, well, let's just say it's not that great being a mole in this society. The moles aren't exactly living the life, but it's okay. They get to live rent-free underground, and they get some... Okay health insurance, but other than that, the living conditions suck shit, especially when you're living in a mine your whole life. As soon as mole folk graduate past toddler-hood, they're given a pickaxe and thrown right into a mine shaft so they can figure out the rest. Yeah, it's totally fucked, but so is society. Speaking of which, a sorta side-effect to constantly digging and mining underneath the city has kinda messed up the structure. What I mean is it's kinda hollowed out some of the Earth underneath the city over the last few centuries, and some weird things likes to pop up every now and then in the mines... Strange things... Terrible things.”
One of these “terrible things” happens to be Drachodil, a dragon-like monster straight out of storybooks and medieval fairytales, except far worse. After he rampaged through a nearby animal city, more and more unusual giant creatures appeared across the land, each stranger and more dangerous than the last. Their discovery opened the gate to a primordial ecosystem of giants more mysterious than even the smartest and most enthusiastic college graduate owlet could ever know.
