Circuit breakers don’t just trip, there’s a problem there that will rear it’s head again sometime 🤷♂️
@andregermain2833
9 ай бұрын
Oh but they do... Siemens D breakers in a humid garage will trip if not used for a while with inductive loads, and ladybugs will get into the larger ones and cause frying and tripping. However, any CB that trips should be investigated.
@Corey-pd3mi
9 ай бұрын
@@andregermain2833 what you are describing are fault conditions where the CB is doing what it’s designed to do. If the ‘inductive load’ is not being used there is no load, humidity is likely creating a circuit and thus a fault condition. Like I said, circuit breakers don’t just trip
@KristinasTravels
9 ай бұрын
Hey guys, this is hull #1, so there are always little things that happen on a brand new boat, especially when its a brand new design. We didn't have any other issues with it, but Jeanneau can investigate further at the end of the trip :)
@andregermain2833
9 ай бұрын
@@Corey-pd3mi It's lived conditions at two farms of mine - if I don't use the equipment on those CBs for months, they'll pop twice in a row in the first seconds then are good for hours and days of use. The CBs are properly rated for the inrush of these inductive loads. Only Siemens D CBs do this to me over 35 years.
@Corey-pd3mi
9 ай бұрын
@@andregermain2833 😂 Let me guess, it’s a home made job and you got your electrical qualifications down on the farm too. The fact remains, the CB trips because there is excess current outside the characteristics of the installed CB, the problem is not the CB, it’s doing what it’s designed to do. If it’s an electro-mechanical load it’s likely binding up somewhat when left idol, so when you do turn it on it draws abnormal current for too long until it frees itself up properly. Also, not all D curve CB’s have the same trip characteristics, if you believe it’s not a load issue and only that specific CB trips why would you continue using it over 35yrs, clearly it’s not suited to the application 🤦♂️

I have in the past shouted at a boat going past that narrowly missed us "so sorry it must be me dragging upwind" . The score for me stands at two successfull insurance claims - pursued by my insurance company - against boats that dragged into my boat and a number of near misses. Only a couple of those instances were in the med, but it's definitely a feature of the meds more subscribed anchorages. I love the south Pacific!

Four winds. In Europe and Asia minor there are names for every prevailing wind at each region you may be from each of the cardinal directions. For example, in South East Greece the North wind is called Bonnetti, but I am not sure if this is a Greek word or Latin (Italian). Safe travels.

We ended up going to the Annapolis Boat Show and met a friend from Jeanneau, who ended up helping to line this up! The Jeanneau 55 launched this year, this was hull number 1, and so they leant it to us for 2 months to have some fun and go wherever we wanted!
