You know every single generation of homo sapien has echoed this about their great works of moving experience since we started outputting the first great cave paintings and sweet dancing and music 10k's of years ago? E.g., "There won't be something like this made again. That was the best it was. It was so much better then." This subjective take on generational shared experience is perhaps the only unchanging aspect of our nature. :) No disrespect to your sentiment or any intention of taking away from what you're throwing down - I think DAO is one of the finest games yet made.

The only upside to having caught Covid in Jan 2021 was being so deprived of things to do that I was essentially forced to finally give Origins ago, after having got it on GwG in 2017 and having tried several times to play Inquisition but ultimately losing interest. i wasn’t expecting much, yet found it to be one of the absolute greatest games I’ve ever played. This one game alone made that lonely 10 days in a bedroom locked away from my family felt like an opportunity to explore a grand new world, meet new friends and for that, I’m eternally grateful to this game.

alfirin657, completely agree! it was so intimate, atmospheric, all side quests were interesting and in some way related to the main conflict. it was so much less obvious good/bad conflict. all the characters somehow made a difference. there were no forgettable companions ,unlike Dao (Stan, Nathaniel,) or DaI (Viv, Blackbeard). the humor was great and the best main character since Shepard! Origins was great, but not so good for replaying. I only managed to finish it twice, Inquisition once, but DAII is so well and tightly written, that its never a chore to replay.
