Damn, I remember my older brother being obsessed with DBZ in the late 90’s. He found out about it on Toonami back when it was a new programming block. Roughly saying, Dragon ball started from 30 years ago. However Dragon ball super has been broadcasting until recently. Thus Dragon ball is also now very popular. Many Japanese are happy and proud since Dragon ball is loved all over the world. (English is difficult for me. I am sorry.)

Because of Dragon Ball: - countless notebooks were filled with drawings of Son Goku - many thought that you can reach Super Saiyan state by screaming your lungs out - it made others believe that your power is based on how long your hair grows Kidding aside, there was a lot of impact on my generation coming from this legendary anime and it also became an inspiration to other manga artists including the great Eiichiro Oda (creator of One Piece). We grew up watching this after school and embraced the principle on fighting for what is right, especially protecting our loved ones. We also learned through the years of following Son Goku and other characters’ unique journey that no matter how big and tough your adversities are, you can always count on your friends and family. Yes. It is a work of fiction, but the lessons and memories created by this masterpiece has made us forget the harsh realities of life and inspired us to become stronger, better versions of ourselves. Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama. 🪽
