In this video, I walk you through setting up a Pi4 with the latest DragonOS Pi64 (6.5 kernel) to support and run CaribouLite. I demonstrate grabbing a patch from a pull request to the main CaribouLite project and manually adding the Ubuntu user to the dialout and root group. I also show you the necessary changes to access the gpiomem.
Once completed, CaribouLite works with popular software like CubicSDR, SDR++, and SDRAngel, as well as any software featuring a Soapy Source or Sink. Get your CaribouLite up and running efficiently with these straightforward steps. Don't be surprised if the process changes soon, these steps are based on what was required at the time of this recording.
Hopefully it gets easier and doesn't require the user being added to sudo. I’m also not sure when or if the Pi5 will be supported.
