Love to see more people love this game! Certainly far from perfect, but that shouldn’t stop us from approaching all the fantastic stuff.

oh btw, the reaction NPCs have to your weapons not applying to mage and sorcerer also happens with trickster as well, so it’s not just mages and sorcs that can have their weapons out without fear from NPCs or guards, but trickster as well

I haven't purchased Dragon's Dogma 2 yet. It's on my wish list. I'm playing Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen right now, over 300 hours thus far. Always running out of stamina drives me nuts, but not enough to make me stop playing. Great video. Thanks.

And yes buying a round does increase affinity for everyone in the bar, I use an affinity bar mod to see everyones affinity. You can also try bringing more people there but they may not stay so you have to be quick. Also i learned that you get 10 affinity for speaking to someone and 2 for hailing them so i spam hail then talk to everyone i pass lol

so i found out a few days ago while playing trickster with my 2 sorc pawn and thief pawn loadout that meteoron from sorcs can actually disintegrate corpses and leave behind only bones. you can’t loot anything from it either, so if you’re running sorcs and they get nuke happy, there’s a chance you won’t be able to loot anything from bosses because they’ll literally just disintegrate the body

@@-Nardo-Blueoh btw in regards to guards and civilians not reacting to your weapon when playing mage or sorcerer, the same also applies to trickster’s censer as well. you can have your censer out and nobody cares

i believe i might have mentioned this already but guards and civilians not reacting to you drawing your weapons while playing mage or sorcerer also applies to trickster as well. i see almost nobody mention this which leads me to believe people just genuinely don’t know that this detail also applies to trickster

I noticed the stamina regen and usage based on inclines pretty early. I thought it was so cool because i havent personally seen another game do that. Also you can catch your pawns too to save them. I always try to catch pawns even from non fatal/damaging falls just because its fun.

Pawns that die a lot will gain some scars through the game. For your own pawn you can go to the thermal in volcanic island and it will heal the scars

@@-Nardo-Blue Saw a wonderful video that explained the concept that too open of a world results in a less fun game. A big wide open map with random nothingness and copy pasted teerain then sporadic hubs of settlements, dungeons etc. (looking at you skyrim) is boring. A map of smaller scale but WAY more DENSITY and attention payed to small details, will ironically feel LARGER in scope. DD2's map is a masterclass in how to build a denser more vibrant and alive world. I also love how you can plainly see what Itsuno mentioned concerning every path being carefully sculpted with clear purpose. You can see a distant landmark and say "I wanna go there...but damn...There's NO clear way there...can I even reach it?" And if you go off the beaten path, look around, explore, you can find a non obvious way there. And multiple places have 3 or more ways there. Like say a clear suspension bridge, but if that bridge breaks there's a longer back way and maybe there's even a concealed shortcut, but none of that is overtly obvious unless you explore.
@hraefn1821

@@-Nardo-Blue Scale means nothing if the map is largely barren. A problem I have with skyrim is that they were so obssessed with square kilometers, they just copy pasted terrain assets and gave you massive expanses of nothing with dungeons and towns etc. sprinkled about. Dragon's Dogma 2 is a smaller map but everything was sculpted with clear intent and purpose. Multiple paths both obvious and secret to various locations . A DENSE world full of detail and vibrancy and LIFE. It feels alive. Other maps in other games that boast a large scale tend to feel empty and dead. I'm still finding new things each playthrough on my 11th pass at the game.
