Talk about the employment opportunities he opened for many, his support for Black Lives Matter, his donations to the Jamaica Learning Center, to the LeBron James charity, to the Lotus House Women's Shelter in Miami, to the Miami Fire Dept, to Covid Relief efforts and many more...I mean are yall fo real when you say he is NOT of the culture then play Kendrick's hate song Not Like Us which is divisive, discriminatory, promotes exclusion by saying Black people from other Nationalities does not make up the Black Diaspora. To me, Drake not being able to accept the loss and move on is a perfect example of how he never understood hip hop and the culture. I’ll admit my knowledge of hip hop is limited but, as with anything, there are ground rules and accepted codes of conduct, if you will. Firstly, he’s incredibly thin-skinned. That’s not gonna fly if you wanna be a legit MC. Thinking he could buy loyalty, and buy his way into the culture, issuing cease and desists for songs, suing people-none of this is in the playbook. He wants to dominate the rap/hip hop world but he never bothered to learn about it.

Just my own observation but the Drake fans I see are guys who want to appear “cool” to women, not women anymore. He’s gone from corny to creepy and I’m not sure coming back from this will be super easy but I do agree. Not even that people will forget, but a lot of people just don’t care about anything but being entertained with what they’re told is the proper entertainment. Maybe Camila will save him 😂😂😂

Like I have conceded that all this new stuff just ain't for me but hip hop was a vehicle to drive the culture of being black in America, kinda like Jazz, Blues, House, etc. a way to remain connected to partly who I am and where I came from, hence why even tho I have been long outta the hood, I am still listening to Umi says, ether, and literally everything in-between and then some while otw to my corporate job where I damn near the only brother. long ass comment short, refreshing to see that hip hop is still respected and is being embraced by the younger generation fr. good content, black man!
