It's all about learning the medium! I only used Crayola colored pencils my entire time in high school. Got those prima colors, and I went from hyper realistic still life art all the way back to where I first started with art. Two completely different feeling brands for sure, and while working with Prisma colors is faster, you just can't beat the price of Crayola 😅

I love how u can see every stroke. I usually hate when markers do that but something about the colors and the closeness of the eye it’s just feels right for it to be strokey and unblended

I remember getting these markers as a kid and thinking they were so fancy and nice that I didn’t even want to use them cause I was worried I’d ruin them. Looking back they kinda sucked, but I used to get really stuck on not having great materials, it’s nice to see someone creating something beautiful with cheap markers meant for kids

I mean it depends. You would have to change how you draw or style depending on the art material you would use. Most expensive ones are intended to be way easier, and have more flexibility

the white one surprisingly turns out good. almost every white marker i've ever used for outline/highlight always got blended in with the base color below them instead of being visibly whitey white

Genuinely never processed it would be said like that in other accents, in my head it could’ve been spelt texta or texter so I expected to hear a rhotic “R” sound and I got so taken aback 💀

Gonna be honest using water based markers is such an underrated art medium even highlighters work really well and it's fun to be able to draw without having the expectations of making a van goh painting like with oils or gouache

Hi! 'Måla' is the Swedish name and roughly translates to "paint" So names like "paint-a" or I guess "texta" wouldn't be too far off 😂

In Australia, we only call the kid ones that have the little interlocking bits textas. Some people call felt-tip markers textas, but they’re wrong
