@ericmaternofficial
Жыл бұрын
Thank you bro! Yea the valves took me quite a while to learn them… when I was recording the video I had to stop, go to Decathlon and buy some valve extensions haha thats way the video got darker when putting the wheels together. It’s working pretty great now. Do you removed the the valve core? Or you just leave it opened(my option)? I’m a fan of the pistard air, my mistake was buying it 172,5mm, so it’s a bit too big for track and crit races…. Apart from that all good.

11 ай бұрын
@@andrassanislo2321 but that’s why I use thread grease for these type of parts. Cogs are things that we swap a lot so don’t see a point of glueing it there, also cause there’s a locking to avoid it getting loose. Sometimes I like to swap it to different wheelsets for exemple or use threaded cogs, so glueing it doesn’t work for the way I ride. But I think if you’re really not changing it at all, loctite might be an extra safety thing.

Mate I did some long rides and it’s safe to ride, many times you just can’t take both hands off the handlebar otherwise you’re pushed, so that sucks a lot, I’m kind of always making an effort to do a straight line too. But beside that, when sprinting I feel I’m super fast and gets me moving and the sound it makes is sick too! If you want my advice I would go to something smaller than that, like 60mm which still looks cool and will be better for the winds around here 😉

@@eurobeatmachinist732 oh yeah makes sense. What I normally do is set my torque to a bit lower than max, like my stem which is 5nm, I use my torque set with 4nm so I have a gap and don’t over tighten it
@lhl2500

Also, the torque set on the wrench, will only be reached if you grip it at the handle. Firm grip, not loose. I've had to teach this to a lot of apprentices along the years. (20+ years as an aircraft mechanic)

How much was the whole build..
@ericmaternofficial
2 жыл бұрын
I was holding to do that math for my peace of mind, but since you asked I decided to put everything together and I spent £1046 on everything. The handlebar was excluded because it came with another bike and I didn’t purchase it. And I got basically everything used from ebay, if not it would be at least 1500 pounds. Well I guess I’ll just go do some extra working hours because I though I had spent £800 on it 😂

What’s fixed gear
@ericmaternofficial
Жыл бұрын
It’s the type of this drivetrain. The cog is fixed so you can pedal forward or backwards. Because of that you don’t really need brake pads because you slowdown just making opposite force against the forward motion
