Hi Dan, thanks for the great review. I have always had traditional pocket sprung mattresses with fillings such as cotton and other natural materials. I have been debating getting a Hybrid Memory foam mattress, but I have heard so many conflicting view points. Some say memory foam hybrid mattresses aren't as good as traditional mattresses such as Vi Spring, Hypnos etc. Please can you give me your thoughts on this?

The difference really comes down to what the upper comfort layer is made of and how thick it is. For example, a regular spring mattress with just an inch or so of padding will likely feel firmer and have less pressure relief than a hybrid mattress with 3+ inches of memory foam or even latex foam in the top layer. Then there is the question of quality: I've tested many of the cheap/budget spring mattresses and they are much more uncomfortable than higher-end hybrid mattresses. Hope that helps a bit, Dan

@@bedroomstylereviews108 Thank you for the reply! I was thinking around the same price for the traditional bed, so one Hypnos mattress I was looking at is around the £840 mark, so I'm contemplating this or trying my luck with these foam ones. What do you prefer?

@@user-cs6lh4vk5e I've not personally tested the Hypnos so I can't weigh in with a fair comparison but I would expect the DreamCloud to have better pressure-relieving qualities if the Hypnos model in question only has natural filler. What is your dominant sleeping position, body weight, and what style of mattress do you prefer - bouncy or softer? These variables have a big impact on what type of mattress will be best for you.

@@bedroomstylereviews108 I tend to sleep on my front mainly. Sometimes I sleep on my back, but I will always end up flipping to my front. I never sleep on my side. I weigh around the 12 stone mark. I like the mattress to feel firm but with some give in the comfort layers, I don't like it to be overly soft. What has always put me off about the original memory foam mattresses was the extreme sinking feeling. I would like a bit of sink but also don't want some pushback basically. Also, I was wondering about the Dreamcloud mattress UK version quality. It seems that the ones in the US look like they are better in terms of quilted top covers. Any ideas on this? I've also noticed another channel that opens up the UK version and shows the inside layers and the foam is different colours to the one you showed. Thanks again for your help!

@@user-cs6lh4vk5e Ok so you are a touch lighter than me - I think the DreamCloud will be ok for you because it has the support you need for sleeping on your front but the memory foam isn't so soft that you will sink in loads and end up with back pain. I tested the UK version, maybe the other channel had an older model or shipped the US version.
