Why does my eco not work below 80 degrees? I tried locking it still doesn’t work if I set eco lower than 80 after 10 seconds it turns off

Best invest in a non contact thermometer to find cold spots in your home and get them sorted like draughts from electric sockets, light switches light, fittings, badly sealed unused fireplaces, hairline cracks around window frames in mortar or sealant, hair line cracks around windows in plaster, couple of feet of loft insulation certainly pays back whether its your property or rented.

We have a town house and it's impossible to get all rooms at the same temperature. We've tried everything, but the best solution appears to be keeping the bottom floor cooler so the upper floors aren't too hot.

I understand the Atom's lowest setting is 900w while the Solaris and the next model up start at 700w for energy savings. They are listed this way at their Amazon store. Perhaps these are the US models.

I'm not sure. They never mentioned that I was getting a different model.

Electric Halogen , oil and fan heaters all have their part to play, usually need to buy a separate plug in thermostat for Halogen heaters to be efficient.

Only really need a fast heater for house in bathroom don't really need to heat rest of house, if you do, find the smallest room to use as a lounge in winter with one outside wall

Diesel caravan heaters are becoming popular to heat garages and sheds with red diesel

Oh that makes a lot of sense in a caravan. I know many people with log burners are saving money too as they're cheaper to run that gas and electricity. We tend to only use it for an hour or so at a time as fan heaters can be expensive to run. Of course, 900 watts is also what you'd burn from running a gaming pc.

@@KevinMuldoon Yep my gaming pc has a Corsair 1000w Titanium PSU with a 10900k and 3080ti and serves as a foot heater during winter 😅My hands still get cold so I'll be pairing it with this little guy. Luckily my dad pays for electricity lmao..

The crazy thing is that the gaming pc uses less electricity😆😆

Get a decent quilt folks in size and tog that seals you in properly bear in mind it's probably not going to seal an adult in on a single bed no matter what the size.

Are these hard on Electricity?

They are, unfortunately. They can draw around 1,000 to 1,500 watts, depending on the setting. We use them in our baby's bedroom and in the living room. We normally just use them temporarily whilst we're waiting for the central heating to kick in. Apart from the high wattage, I've been delighted with these. They've proved to be very reliable.

Thats one hell of a $ to £ conversion. $49.99 to £70??? With the current exchange rate it should only be £41. Nearly 30 quid mark up per unit!! Bit of a rip-off price to say the least

Yeah we do generally have to pay more here. It's worth noting that Nearly all products on Amazon go up and down in price every week. Some products change their price every week. The technique seems to be to reduce the price to generate reviews, which pays off when the price goes back up. So you can pay more or less than the others, depending on when you buy. 👍

WHAT????? I don't understand. How do I use the bleedin thing? Lost the manual. Couldn't understand it when I did have it. Lost the remote. I just want women friendly equipment. This is not self-explanatory. I am a WOMAN I don't want to "mess around with it". I just want simple buttons that tell me clearly how to use it. I also want to know how much it costs to run per hour. Not in Klingon language I have to learn before I go to a pie chart that leads me to a conversion table. This is not what a WOMAN wants. Just state 24p or whatever. In the meantime, I cannot figure out how to use it. HOW DO I USE IT? WHY SO COMPLICATED? Men like "messing around with it". I just want to know clearly how to use it. BTW. Its 4am and I'm cold.

I mean losing the manual and remote control is on you. I would go to Dreo's website and look for an online manual. Perhaps you can order a new remote as well.

@Mr.Reality The end of the comment expresses the fact that I'm cross. That should inform the comment. I'm also talking about all types of technical equipment that are bonkers difficult to work out how to use. I have asked women friends questions about technical equipment, and I am told they couldn't do it, so they got their husband to work it out. It is annoying. I don't want to have to try to work something out. I just want it to be simple and straightforward. It is all very well saying watch a video of someone explaining it. Almost all channels dealing with technical things are written and fronted by young men. The first problem is that they use technical language without any explanation. That is the meaning of the "Klingon" remark. They are speaking in a whole other language. I am also perplexed at the speed that these men talk in. It is hard to grasp anything they say. I then discovered that they use some technical way of actually speeding up their speech. The result is a garbled load of nonsense. Manuals make no sense, and teenie remotes get lost easily and don't make sense either. I bought an electric wheelchair a few months ago. The manual doesn't even tell you how to charge it. I contacted the company, and a young man might have been trying to help, but the whole thing makes no sense. He uses technical terms without explaining what they mean. There is also the problem of "assumed knowledge." When you try to ask these young men what something means, they get angry as if you ought to know. My grumpy comment basically said that companies or commentators dealing with technical matters should aim to be clear, not flex their knowledge by forbidding anyone other than a young man or exceptional young woman to understand it. I note that most men like the challenge of spending hours trying to work something out. I am a woman. I am not interested in attempting to decipher technology. I just want straightforward information.
