Really tasty guitar solo. Really surprised me with the mix of shredding and dips of jazz. This song was a nice surprise

Came here to hear the guitar pickups (demo from the EMG site), and was actually pretty blown away. A five piece group with 2 drummers? Killer. This girl plays a REALLY tasty guitar solo. This is above and beyond the usual crap you hear on the radio. I'm actually diggin' the bass tone way too much. Very nice.

When i read the description i didn't think I'd vaguely like this, buuuut I actually liked the vocals, the baseline, how chilled it was and holy shit the solo took me by surprise but was beast and worked great :P and this is all coming from a pretty defiant metalhead...but don't know if it was worth dragging two drumkits in ;) And oh and i think i may have fallen in love with the guitarist, better go and change my profile pick from cookie-monster kitty to something attractive incase she see's this...

For everyone complaining about the two drum kits, give it another shot. At times in the track, you're right, two drummers are superfluous. At others they're doing some really nice subtle stuff that no drummer with two human hands and feet could pull off. Even the tapping around 1:45 is a really nice touch.

Well, she did a few years with Jon Batiste and Stay Human, the house band for the Late Show with Steven Colbert. Now she's the guitarist on the SNL house band. Probably the hardest gig you can get. So she's getting her just desserts. BTW, all the band members have some impressive stories after this.

There's something about the rhythm guitar parts, the power cords not the hybrid picking percussive parts, that reminded me of Vernon Reid. I haven't listened to Living Colour in a long time so maybe it's all in my mind, but at some point.. Vernon just popped into my head. I liked the guitar solo too. Very nice.. much better than I'm capable of.

OH MY GOD! People are bitching about two drummers and a big pedal board. Do you have any clue? A band has many songs. Their arrangements are all different. If you are curious about two drummers, then listen to MORE THAN ONE SONG! If you are curious about why the guitarist has such an expansive pedal board, then listen to MORE THAN ONE SONG! This is an extremely talented band with the provenance to back it up. Dig into it before you judge. And if you don't like it, STFU!

@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power

if done well, it acheives a fuller, flangey, stereo effect. they did a good job, though i'm not fond of dual drumsets. it's an old school band thing. i've seen steeley dan or the allman brothers perform with two drummers, and i think some others have used that arrangement too.
@chiefmachine24
9 жыл бұрын
I'm aware of other bands using multiple drummers, but the thing that usually sets them apart is that their music is more complex & challenging to play (King Crimson used THREE drummers). This is pretty much just what Jay said above me, a gimmick. I'm not trying to bash on their musical skills, just that this is unnecessary.

They all have a bunch of projects going on and I'm not really up to date. I'm not sure about Joanna, but I'm sure she's busy. Ian was touring with Betty Who. Drew is producing and making music. JP has a big drum instruction program and tour, and he also tours with Generation Axe that includes some of the guitar greats of our time. Maddie landed with Stay Human, the Stephen Colbert Late Show house band. She toured with KPop sensation Taeyang, and filled in on the road with Rubblebucket. Now she's a member of the Saturday Night Live House Band, which is damn impressive. Check out their Wikipedia page to see how hard it is to get on board. It's like someone has to die to get an open spot!
