Mine was drilled in 1958, lasted until 2010, same thing probably collapsed in on itself. Fortunately, rural water was available.

My grandads farm has a nice well system, only seen the pump replaced one time and there's tons of iron in our water. When they pulled the pipe out it was red with iron oxide. No damage to the pipe since it was pvc or whatever its supposed to be.

We lived in a house once that had a well. The water was bad we had replaced the washer twice and the shower and everything was stained with rust. You never felt cleaned after a shower or drink the water.. We had company come out to do a water test. He filled a glass of that well water. He was so shocked because the bottom of that glass was full of dirt and sediment. He said he never saw anything like that before.

Worth it to buy bronze impellers for those pumps.

would cathodic protection grounded to the steel help keep it from corroding from the acidic water?

Out of interest, how much would a job like this cost? It looks to be a massive job. Very interesting though. Great work, thanks for sharing.

So question do you guys use the pitless adapter on these smaller wells? Or not needed as you don’t get the cold weather?

Do well drillers ever check the tailings for gold?

Was recently told to get my well drilled was going to be 10,000 dollars 250 feet deep and only four gallons a minute in flow. Does that sound right at all?

Hey Casey, y'all do work out in the Ponchatoula area? Also, if building a new house, would be best to drill the well around the same time the foundation is going in or before?

Yep, Northshore just now starting to get cool. Great video and hello from Metairie. Oh and would that gravel work in a fish tank? I bet it'd look nice.

I’m about to start well drilling down in Panama using a somewhat similar trailer mounted drill rig. I have a question: if you drill down and think you’re in the producing zone and you set your casing and flush out the mud and go to develop the well only to realize there isn’t water, how do you pull the casing back out? Are there special attachments that can be added to a drill rig to help pull casing if you need to get it out to go deeper?
