Average high temp is 85°F and average low is 65°F. It can get a little over 100° or down to the high 50°’s. In the winter it will get down below 10°F a few days, but the average is 28°F in January. Where are you in Australia and how hot and cold does it get there!

Where about in AZ? Reason I ask is I am going to be drilling in NW AZ near a place called White Hills (north of Kingman). Elevation is 4400 feet. Who did you use to drill?

We are 15 miles north of Concho AZ. Elevation here is 5500’. We used Copperstate Drilling out of Snowflake. Let me know how your well goes. I was wondering how deep the wells are in that area. There are a lot of beautiful places around there.

@@JerryPoe58 How much was it for just the well? How much $ per foot? $27k sounds like way too much. Here in TN it's currently at $20/ft and $26/ft for casing.

I’m not sure what that works out to but most people in this area spend closer to 35,000-40,000$. They do mostly solar pumps because most people are off grid. They will set the whole system up for you. I’m going to do my own solar system to run the well pump and the whole house. One system for everything.

@@JerryPoe58 Yeah I guess it heavily depends on the area. I just watched another video where a couple paid $32k for a well. $40 something a foot. Crazy

What you are drilling in makes a difference. Where it’s loose rock, gravel, sand and caves, the risk of loosing the chain increases, so the price will reflect this. Also, of course, supply and demand. I’m guessing that a new drilling rig..complete..would cost 500K. You would need to drill a lot of wells at 20 a foot to even begin to pay for it. The spline alone is 20k and it is one of the first parts to require replacing. Who has the more expensive house, car and toys? The well driller or the banker or the ophthalmologist? Just asking!

They totally ripped you off drilling hundreds of extra feet.... this is why I drilled my own well (and bypassed any government knowledge of it)

There’s a huge aquifer here that’s down around 400’ from the surface. You can drill shallow if you are satisfied with nasty surface water. You better filter it real good! You may get away with a shallow well where your at but not here in northeastern AZ.

@@JerryPoe58 Even "nasty" shallow groundwater is great for watering crops/plants, and filtering is very easy 🙂
