Asakraka, with a population of about 5000, is one of the major towns in the Kwahu-South District and is about 6km from Mpraeso, the district capital. Located between Bepong and Kwahu Tafo on the main Mpraeso-Afram Plains road, Asakraka is the home of St Paul's Secondary School and has the second highest inhabited point in Kwahu (second to Abetifi).
