My father was born and raised on Saba island. I have family there still and some not far away in the states too. I have not visited, but my brother did about the time this video was made. Beautiful Island.

That looks like a very pretty island. Definitely on my bucket list of locations to visit - alone for the plane spotting at SXM . Thank you for sharing this! P.S: The plane is a DeHavilland DHC-6 Twin Otter - as you said, "the" classical STOL plane (STOL = short take-off and landing). /not-an-avgeek

The color of the water is so beautiful. No, I would not fly on a tiny plane and land on a tiny runway. But, beautiful.

Winair is an excellent airline, probably the best in the Caribbean. They've been flying there for over 50 years without incidents. I have nothing but good experiences.

You talk as though those same handful of people you refer to don't have to pay taxes and live for free. And because there isn't a larger population they deserve to live climbing cliff sides or dirt like goats(who are killed off now) because proper infrastructure is such a waste of taxpayers money. Do you hear yourself? For your information if there was a recognized university/college available in Saba to further their education then just maybe Dutch would still be the first language. But because they have to go off island to other countries who speak primarily English to become educated that is why Dutch isn't the mother tongue anymore. But then again with such a small population why should they aspire to further their Education and see more than just the 5 square miles they were born on? They should just be uneducated Dutch speakers living with no infrastructure to spare taxpayers.
