Thanks for an enjoyable after breakfast trip to Seymour. It must be pleasing to drive such a well presented locomotive. The mighty C class has always been my favourite. Cheers Pete.

Question please: what notch is C501 in in the second half of the Kilmore Passing Lane? Sounds like a bit of dynamic braking but the train does not appear to be slowing down. Thanks
@driver667
Ай бұрын
It was around 4 notches keeping the train stretched and using the air brake to check the speed due to the diverge coming up around the corner to leave the loop. 👍😀

Do you look incessantly at the quagmire of track/switches/2 gauges coming out of Southern Cross? Or is it a matter of just trusting the system and knowing you can't be accidentally directed on another route! Can you ever be accidentally routed to the wrong gauge? The C sounds magnificent :)
@driver667

@@thebops4180 the signals tell us what gauge is being signalled so we need to keep an eye on it being correct. Working out the track work is easy after the years I've been driving and tracks are something I like. 😀 The C does sound great. 👍😀

Oh, wow. Look at all of those Vlocitys backed up on the RRL. I guess they need even MORE capacity. Flexible signalling and crossovers would help, but not by much. Hopefully, any additional tracks won't have such tight curves as the ones on the flyover (screeching and slow running are both things to avoid).
