In this 236 Km car drive we start from the city of Angol on a bright shiny spring day towards the city of Pucón. We pass through several small towns like Collipulli , Ercilla , Victoria , Temuco , Freire , Villarrica.
We also went down the Malleco railway Viaduct, which a popular myth claims that it was designed by Gustave Eiffel. Eiffel did make a bridge proposal, but it was rejected by the Chilean authorities. It was designed by Aurelio Lastarria and the construction of the bridge was awarded to Schneider et Cie. O Le Creusot, another French company. The bridge opened in 1890 and it was the highest bridge in the world at that time.
Join us in this 3 hours car drive through the Chilean rote 5 Highway and enjoy with us the scenic views from the lake district in the south of Chile.
