After an uneventful storm chasing attempt, I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice storm with tons of lightning, including cloud to ground strikes while returning to home base.
if yall wanted to know where it starts, here's time timestamp: 8:16

There are those, like me, who love thunderstorms, and get our hopes up when they are forcast. Then there are those who fear them so much, that they panic at the slightest risk if even an isolated storm, one that is so short lived, it doesn't even leave any puddles. All too often, we storm lovers get screwed by scattered storms. Some people say that climate change may be why storms don't seem what they used to be. If that is the case, then climate change may be favoring those who fear thunderstorms.

As odd as it may seem to some, sure it's nice to be home during a massive storm = especially if you are talking about at night with torrential downpours, but I always loved being out on the road driving during a thunderstorm for some reason. Especially if there is lots of lightning.

Nice shelf cloud! Quite ominous! Isn't it unusual for there to be such a strong thunderstorm that far north? This had to have been in the summer, cuz this region gets nothing but snow, blizzards, and extreme cold in the winter, and can have -90 wind chills.

Minnesota actually gets quite a bit of severe weather in the summer, we get pretty hot too in June and July.

That is why that would be my kind of place to live. I love the distinct change of seasons, cold snowy winters, hot summers with lots if thunderstorms. If I had the means, I would move there from New Jersey. It seems more as if NJ might be a place for those who fear thunderstorms to live. Yes, they do get storms out here, but all too often if the hit and miss type.

They say that if you are a thunderstorm lover, you can't go wrong in Florida, as they get more thunderstorms than even the states in Tornado Alley. But if you also like the distinct change of seasons, then MN is more your place. The only real difference in FLA between summer and winter, is that in winter, thunderstorms are less frequent, and maybe don't occur in winter, just like is doesn't snow in the summer, even in MN.

Not the best video by any means. You obviously hit a break in the storm. Even though heavy rain happened, you missed the most intense part even though the clouds were impressive at first.
