@@Sanyaas_ki_paudi I would not attempts to cross by just walking across illegally. With today's technology you will never cross successfully. There is also some creative old technology as well. You would not like to be deported from Canada because it would make it difficult to come back legally at a future date.

Back in the day the border between Nogales, AZ and Nogales, Sonora used to sort of look like this. International St. was just one wide dirt road until 1919.

Shortly after this video was made, a wire fence was put up in the sections where 0 Avenue runs parallel to Boundary Rd. In the 1990s, I used to drive along Boundary Rd and would rarely see Border Patrol. Today, I usually see 4 or 5 vehicles on that stretch.

Thank you. I think places like that are very interesting. Port Roberts, the Northwest Angle . In the states we have the Kentucky bend and believe it or not the only way to get there is by going to Tennessee.

so the US in places has its own equivalent - so no chance of a Derby Line / Stanstead situation where the border is officially down the middle of the street (or through the towns' shared library) [Disclosure: I had just been watching a clip from that bit of borderline insanity.]

I remember driving exactly the same route a couple of years ago. Speed limits in Canada in kmh in the US mph. I was warned not to walk around the stainless border markers because according to US border agents it would be an illegal act. But I did walk around and took photos and made videos, anyway :)

The road is made so poorly here compared to Washington state. Like you can seriously here the thumps from the wheels clambering over the lumpy and wavy inconsistent pavement. And then the cracks and gaps which make it so much worse. And then how pale it is on our side, plus the cheap chaotic and pathetic tar patch fixes for those cracks that pretty much don't help the situation at all. Not good road quality on our side compared to theirs. But the scenery is nice.

I have been very interested in these northern borders lately. The southern border from US to Mexico has too much drama associated with it. These northern borders are better- colder in the winter months but better to see.
