Grew up driving my lovely 1990 240SX on these roads. My family owns a large repair shop in this area. I kicked around the idea of moving to Chicago when I was in my mid-20s, but I stayed in MI. Glad I did, as I’ve gotten older I’ve really come to appreciate my state. Nice videos!!!

East side of middlebelt homes are all packed h together. West of middlebelt are where the big double lot homes are. Born and raised GC’er…it’s a place where pretty much everyone knows everyone. It’s not a big place at all. It’s kind of a strange place in the sense we’d get celebrities showing up randomly. 1:27 on the left with the yellow sign is new Peking and Jay Leno was there eating. Garden lanes at warren and middlebelt, Gerard butler showed up randomly one night to bowl for a few hours, etc.

I love how you know metro Detroit so well! I get so confused because it's such a large area to figure out where it all is located. Is there a lot of traffic up that way in Garden City and Westland? I know the traffic can be horrific down in metro Detroit? How do you handle it? It's a major frustration of mine.
@scottman895
2 жыл бұрын
Metro Detroit is quite large, but thankfully a lot of the roads are in a grid-like pattern which makes things easier. Ford Rd (the road I started the driving tour on) can be very busy during rush hour. When I commute to and from work, I usually get in early and leave early so that I can beat the traffic. It reduces a lot of anxiety that way!

Good evening Scottman895! How are you doing tonight? Thank you so much for the driving tour of Garden City and Westland. I have enjoyed it. I saw Burger Transition Center which used to be Henry Ruff Elementary School on Henry Ruff and Maplewood. I used to go to Burger School for Students with Autism. The building used to be on Beechwood and Dillon. The building had been demolished for a while. I also saw Cambridge Center which used to be Burger Annex as well. I am glad I got to explore and learn more about those two areas. I did not know about the Norwayne Historic District until now. It is interesting that those houses were built during World War II and they were low cost. I would love to take a ride in the Norwayne Historic District soon so I can learn more about it. That was interesting. Can I make a video request? Could you please do a driving tour of Taylor MI? I would like to learn more about it even though I have been there before. Could you please also do a driving tour of Monroe MI? I am interested in learning more about that city near the Ohio border as well. Could you also please do a driving tour of Ypsilanti as well? I would love to learn more about that city. Could you also do a driving tour of Waterford MI? I would love to learn more about that as well. Finally, could you also please do a driving tour of Belleville and Canton MI? I would love to learn more about those areas as well. I would like another Livonia MI driving tour because I would like to show you Schoolcraft College and Madonna University. Those are the two schools that I have attended and earned my degrees from. I would love for you to show that off in the next Livonia MI driving tour video. I was also wondering if you could so a driving tour of Richmond and Armada MI? I would love to learn more about those two areas as well. Thank you once again for the driving tour of Garden City and Westland. I can't wait to watch it again soon. I love watching your driving videos because I get to learn more about Michigan that I have never knew before. I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season. Have a great night and I will see you in the next video.
