Myponga Beach is a discreet little beach tucked away amongst 50 to 60 meter high rolling hills and into a valley.
Myponga Beach was one of South Australia's earliest settlements outside of Adelaide.
(If your travelling to Cape Jarvis its off the main road and hidden from passing traffic on the Fleurieu Peninsular)
The Myponga Creek winds its way down from Myponga Dam and empties into the sea at this point.
The remnants of the 1860 jetty are visible at the southern end of the beach. The jetty serviced local produce, grain and livestock.
The views from the houses perched high above must have breath taking views all year around.
There are no retail facilities (shops) at the beach but they do have public conveniences.
Well worth a visit you will not regret it.
