Hi, when do u know to play the gracenotes om the chords?
@miikahentila7083
3 жыл бұрын
In my opinion it often sounds the best, when there is a scale note a whole tone down from the melody note and when there is no rub between the grace note and the underlying chord. So in a major key, the best sounding (diatonic!) grace notes are from 2nd degree to the 3th, 5th to the 6th and 6th to the 7th regardless of the chord you are on. The same notes apply to the relative minor key, and maybe some chromatic chords. Of course there are other good sounding ones, but these will get you started!

This video is great could you do another vid maybe longer with more insight and examples of how you would approach building muscle mem
@jakejacobs126

Many ask that same question. No video can take the place of practice. Muscle memory is your own. Everyone practices different. Good luck to you...

Like the sound of these chords. What does the note after the forward slash mean…like in D / F#?
@breblackmusic

That’s the note the d chord is over. So a d chord over F the lowest note

Exactly what did you do at 5:22 ? What scale(s) did you modulate to? Edit: Nvm. I see that you modulated to E then D then back to C.

This is amazing, but you didn’t really wanna teach. You flew by the good stuff. Either you didn’t wanna teach it, or didn’t wanna spend the time. However, the information is great so I thank you for it!
