Test and clean shift solenoids. There's a possibility that they're worn out and when they heat up, they're getting stuck open/closed. Can test them by running a power and ground wire to the solenoid plug pins and see if you're getting a good strong click. If the click is weak, that will tell you that it is going bad or gunked up inside. Should also test the plug for resistance and the plug from the engine harness for proper voltage. Hope this helps

Glad everyone made it home safe. That drive, reminded me when i drove with my gf (at the time) to pick up an EG Hatch 150 miles away. Talked the buyer down and bought the car, driving it back (no trailer to haul). It had an Blown Head Gasket. The amount of Anger/Rage I had wasn't even measurable. 9 Hours later and 15 stops at the gas station to fill the coolant I made it home.

Yes, drain it fill it back up, drive for 10 miles “less if need to” and repeat 4-5x’s. Mine went on for over 300k miles and when it’s problem was at 96k*/-

Also get a magnetic inline transmission filter. Cause what happened is these early Honda auto transmission have internal filters and sense they don't get flush in time that's what happens when the transmission gets up to temp the filter gets clogged let it sit for 30 to an hour ur good to go.

Bravus you should use the negative on the fan for the switch so you have positive running straight to the blower fan and that will keep the switch from melting.

I was told recently to leave the clutch fan and shroud on. A. Chevy tech told me there’s a reason why they left the clutch style fan on the 2500-3500’s. He said they cool better. I personally would think the electric fans would be a better option and was going to do so on my 07 3500 year express van.
