I don't know about anyone else but this song doesn't sound egotistical at all. It sounds (at least to me) like he was a very happy and trusting person at one point in his life but he was crush and betrayed by people he thought were his friends leaving him only to care for himself. He realized that being overly trusting gets you no where and the only person he needs to care about is himself. Sadly I know how that feels, I bet i'm not the only person who has.

Okay valid point, but Slipknot have made it, Drowning Pool is still growing so why diss Ryan for carrying on Drowning pool if he can bring forward them and still do what Dave was bringing to metal, Even if Dave is not here to witness it, So I guess my valid point is that Dave legacy is living through Drowning pool with Ryan and the rest of the band, like Slipknot is carrying on and living the legacy of paul.

Sinner will always be one of my all-time favorite albums. Dave's voice was angelic. Losing him was the end of the Drowning Pool I fell in love with unfortunately. It's like if David Draiman or Serj Tankian or Corey Taylor died, and the bands replaced them with anybody else it just wouldn't be right. If Linkin Park tries to find a new singer it won't be Linkin Park, like the magic is gone. Dave was one of those irreplaceable ones too.

From all the songs Drowning Pool made this is my favorite by them as the guitars and vocals really do shine here. The distorted sounds give a cool techno atmosphere and love how energetic and enthusiastic the band was about making this. I also appreciate the line "I don't care about anyone else but me." which I do relate sometimes if my needs are not being taken into consideration but a healthy balance between taking care of yourself and others and learning to know when it's the right time and place to put yourself first won't be bad. "Tear Away." deserves my respect of being a lit Drowning Pool song and hopefully more people check it out. Drowning Pool have my greatest admiration for building a foundation that represents their life work and joy they have producing their music that would pave the way for many kickass metal bands in the years to come and this foundation is staying unbreakable. The symbol of empowerment Drowning Pool gives and the identity they have created for themselves is for a fact going to be engrained places that honour them the right way for e.x pop culture, the memories of people and bands that were inspired by them. May Dave be in a better place as he earned it for what he has done to make his life and those around and individuals who were inspired by his music better and may the legacy and identity of his band luckily carries on.

This song always makes me so sad because to feel what he’s saying in this song is a sad and lonely place to be. I interpret it as being so lost being so hurt in turn becoming so depressed and numb that no one else matters anymore. It’s a sad place to be and I feel that’s how Dave felt I mean to me you can see it in his eyes. Metal music is real and raw. These guys say what they feel. Rest In Peace Dave. You will always be one of my favorites!

The song is actually kinda deep. At first, you think its a pretty shallow expression about selfishness or being independent or something. Which I dont mean to say that is a bad thing, but its a common thing. But there are lines in the song that kinda reflect an outlook of 'you can't control anything outside of the self'. So what point is there to care about anything else beyond you, you can only control yourself and your reactions.

But she didn't felt anything similar only friendship! She broke my heart but later on I realized she wasn't the one for me. So now I seek for my❤one.
