A classic Rush song form arguably their most famous and well respected album. Neil Peart's drumming is just so perfect as it is on every other Rush song that he played on. Every aspect of his playing contributes to the story of the song, whether it be the drive of his groove (no pun intended), the excitement and urgency in his fills, or the acute flow of dynamics. I still look to him as a cornerstone inspiration as a musician.
I had a bunch of requests for more tunes on the Slingerland concert tom kit, and I couldn't think of a more fitting song. It has taken me long enough to get back around to digging into Rush again, and with the added deep dive I've recently been doing having just finished Geddy Lee's new book, there will possibly be some more in the near future.
