I've always wanted to try these 2 very different style of drumheads back to back. Remo Vintage Ambassador heads are a unique 2 ply head (which is different from the regular Ambassador) and is reminiscent of the original sounding heads that made Remo famous. The Controlled Sound is often used as a snare drum head (either coated or clear) but has its' roots with many classic rock bands of the 1970's. It's attack is unmatched and that attack still makes it popular as a tom head today.
